Does this kit come with a roll of screen to put into the frame ?

Yes it has screen that you have to very carefully install. This is a very light low quality screen door. I would not buy it again.

How sturdy is this being adjusted to the full 80 1/4"

I feel this is a very good quality screen, you have to assemble it yourself, i like the metal wheels. and yes it will adjust to 80 1/4

Would this fit for a 77.5 x 29.5? and whats the thickness of the door?

It fits to the dimensions listed. The 30" will fit a 29- 30 inch opening with a seal at the fixed, outer glass door. The thickness is a typical sliding screen door that fits the upper and lower track of a patio sliding glass door. The upper and lower height adjustments give you plenty of room to work with to get the right height fit and be able to square the screen for a good closed seal. Easy assembly but you may need a table and a extra hand to help. Watch the videos.
