Q: My son loves his big bouncy trampoline but for winter we’d love a small one inside. Are these bouncy like bigger trampolines?

Dear Customer The gym rebounder is exercise equipment and not a toy and children will often want to jump like on a trampoline with straight legs and high – and rebounding is a technique with knees bent, push into the mat, and only leave the surface by a few inches (6 inches max). If they are using the rebounder for fun children should be supervised to ensure that they do not jump, and that they follow the correct technique as shown on the DVD provided. Hello, when I used it on carpet I put it on some thick foam matts so that it didn’t mark or tear. You can buy the matts from Amazon, DIY stores or Halfords. 4 matts is enough. I hope this helps :)

Q: Are springs better than bungee ropes?

Here is my explanation about metal sprung rebounders vs bungee sprung rebounders that I hope clarifies things on this subject. Firstly you have to ask yourself the question ‘what are you wanting to use the rebounder for’? If the answer is pure fitness and sports training then it’s probable that a metal sprung unit will suit your needs better as long as it is well built, well sprung and has quality component parts. Our Maximus range of units are perfect for this use. If you want to use it for holistic bouncing/training then it is likely that our Fit Bounce Pro Bungee sprung rebounder is a better option for you. A metal sprung unit will give you a quicker return meaning you will be able to bounce faster as the upward propulsion is quicker and if you are bouncing at a faster tempo say 130pm + which is normal for mainstream fitness rebound classes/workouts then the metal sprung unit is ideal. The bungee sprung unit gives a slower return so its very hard trying to complete workouts at a faster tempo as the bounce is likely to be softer. However some of our fittest instructor solve the core workout they get from completing fitness workouts on the Fit Bounce Pro as its very challenging. Other considerations factors to consider are medial conditions ie. If you suffer from Osteo-arthritis or need the best and most efficient lymphatic drainage for swollen joints then the bungee unit is best in my opinion. For sports training and conditioning exercises I would use the metal sprung unit. So it’s a question of what is right for you and your needs. I hope this helps 😊 Best wishes Rebound Fitness
