It is quite durable. Properly set to be level with the ground, it should last for quite awhile. I rarely see one break, usually just the cover, if that.

the base measures 14 w x 19 L inside measurement !

How deep is the 14x19 box?

If I remember correctly it was roughly a foot deep. Hope this helps.
