Q: How does this work when traveling in a car? Would I need another type of carrier?

It works just fine by itself in the car. When turning corners, depending on the weight of your cat, it might fall over though. I do think that if you need to, you can use a seat belt to keep it in place. Or even on the floor is fine too.

Hi, it can't be split into two carriers. And the degsin you want may be avaialble in 2 months.
