💯 as expected! Great product!
This fit on my tall wide mouth Ball jars and sat perfectly on my countertop by the window. In five days, I had fresh and delicious sprouts. Am going to buy a few more so I can have batches on rotation - available to eat all the time!

Didn’t work for me.
great in theory. I was looking for something to replace a sprouting tray. I liked the idea of less plastic but the results were disappointing. My guess is because the lid doesn’t drain as well, you either leave too much water or loose seeds when removing it to drain. In the end it didn’t feel any better than covering a jar with cheesecloth

Nice idea-poor function
The seeds get caught up around the top of the drainage lid. It's a pain to get them out and I find I wish I had my old screen tops back. This is going in the "garage sale" pile after I get the old-school screen tops again.

Works fine but a bit messy
This grows sprouts fine but I find it pretty drippy after ever watering. The bottom catches most of this but there’s often moisture underneath it that I have to wipe off before putting in my window sill. Not a big deal—just not a perfect design. .

Better than expected!
I ordered these lids, but had a slight hesitation since some reviewers say they are excellent and others say they are useless. I have found them to be very easy to use and clean, and have just ordered more. The trick to getting the water to either enter or exit the lid is to slightly depress the lid when filling or draining.

Not enough ventilation
I wanted this to work, but after 3 batches of trying to grow sprouts, I've been unsuccessful every time, and it's because these holes don't offer enough ventilation and by the 3rd day (even with lots of rinsing) the seeds get disgustingly smelly and rotten/moldy. I've been successful with just leaving the cover off and spritzing the seeds/sprouts every so often. Also, the holes are a little too big for broccoli seeds, and some of them fall out every time you want to rinse the since you have to stretch the silicone. It's really unfortunate because I wanted to use these instead of plastic ones, or rusty metal ones

Sprout Jar Covers
These are great because the stretchy silicone will fit over a different variety of sizes on jars. I’m not just limited to the size that came with my last set anymore, so I can go up to a much larger size if I want. I cover the jar with the one that has holes and let it sit and drain over the one that doesn’t. With the silicone I also don’t have to worry about rust like my last metal one because I had it sitting in a bowl of water for a few days to soak.
