Works great, but be sure to buy new, not used/refurbished
I originally purchased this PV-100XPS dryer booster fan (returned box) on Amazon.com in 2019 (Total dryer vent hose length is about 25 ft).It functioned flawlessly for 6 months, then the fan blades exploded. There were warranty issues, and it took a while to get Amazon to own up to a replacement. We replaced it with a new one in 2019, and it's been running strong for 5 years. It automatically turns on when the dryer starts, and shuts off a few minutes after the dryer cycle ends. If you've got issues with clothes not drying or lint buildup in your vent lines due to a longer-than-normal dryer vent line, I highly recommend this product (if you buy it new).Note: For this item, don't buy returns through Amazon, because even though the listing might say it's still covered by the manufacturer warranty, it wasn't in our case.

Nice fan.
Really great item.It is large and will take up most of the space between the two floor joists if you install it in the celling. The operation is very quet and fan is nicely balanced. It is not silent but it is bearly notisable when running.Remember that it is basically mandatory to add a secondary lint trap otherwise it will get covered in lint and can cause issues. The only minor complaint is that input and output duct connectors are a little smaller then standard 4inch duct, so ducts fit loose and clamping is impossible. You will need to use aluminum tape to hold the lines on.

Good until it isn't
I've purchased and installed two of these units (new). The second one just died, (fan bearings failing, causing loud rattling, grinding noises). It was in service for just shy of 4 years. The previous unit died after just over 4 years. I do appreciate consistent engineering! But think I'll try another brand, to see if it lasts longer, especially at $300 for a third replacement. All that said, while in service, both units worked well. Kept the dryer air exhaust airflow strong. Sometimes the unit would stay on long after the dryer had shut off, but this happened rarely (far as I know). But a quicker shut down in general would probably lengthen the lifespan of these booster fans.

Dryer Problems Ended Fan Problems Started...
Cheep house contractors of the day decided to run the dryer duct up the wall and out the roof. After a couple of years the dryer takes forever to dry your stuff. Dryers don't have enough fan power to pump the hot air and lint up and out two stories high. Go up to the attic, cut the duct and install this. Problem fixed. (After you spend all day cleaning years of lint out of your dryer ducts and wondering how you managed not to catch your home on fire)****** BEWARE OF THIS UNIT******* I have now had to pay for and install 2 of these units in the last 3 years. Both units have failed in the same place. The fan blades come lose from the drive plate and make the whole unit vibrate and make noise. Going with a different brand this time........

Excellent and quiet product. Solve our problem.
Excellent and quiet product. But, be prepared for difficulties installing fan. If you have available power and a convenient location with an adequate surface to mount fan, it would be simple. In my situation, I had numerous obstacles that made my installation difficult. Bottomline: This fan solved our problem.

Works great. Easy install
Works great. Easy install. Just plug in and place in your ducting. Run the clear tube into the ducting and the pressure created when your dryer turns on, this fan automatically turns on. When I put my dryer on the eco setting, it use to dry in about 45 minutes. Now it only takes about 20-25 minutes. During a remodel, I had to run my duct up a wall about 8 feet and over about 8 feet. This booster fan makes me feel more comfortable about that long travel and obviously helps my dryer out with run time.

the original went bad......
Bought a new home - this model was under the home because the dryer is physically at the front of the home and the dryer vent is in the back. After 4 years of use, the old unit began making a noise like a bearing going out or a blade working loose. (helicopter under the house). The new unit was cost-effective, and an easy replacement since it was the same size. If this one breaks after 4 years, I'm getting a different model. Hope this helps!

Load noise
Fan started making a load noise after 2 months. Worked great until that point.
