now THATs a Knife!
Im smiling ear to ear. This is a very sturdy blade with HEFT. Performs tripple duty: Knife, Machette and Hatchet all in one. Like others have said, it might be a bit heavy for ultra light weight hiking gear, but I camp alot with my truck and this knife is my go to.

It’s A Beast!
The Eafengrow 142 knife is a beast and it came razor sharp, which may have your wife asking “What happened to the hair on your arm, did you get a new knife?” The tanto blade is made of DC53 steel and should hold up well for my use as a camp knife I plan on keeping in my truck and travel trailer. The two toned G10 scales seem to fit my XL hands nicely and the kydex sheath is tight and a very secure fit.If you’re on the fence about getting this blade, go ahead and make the jump. It’s hard to go wrong at the price point.

Careful what you ask for
I am not particularly partial towards Eafengrow, but they make some terrific blades. Durable, practical, and functional. This knife? It is without question, big and thick. And with all that, heavy. Thicker and heavier than most knives of similar size and shape. Which if that is what you are looking for, then this will work. The heft is a questionable feature when I have to carry it on a hiking or backpacking trip. A lighter knife would be ideal for that. But that doesn't stop me from having it available just in case. Its design and ruggedness make it perfect for those times when getting the axe out is out of the question. It will work. It will hold an edge but will occasionally need to be honed or sharpened. The quality is right up there with most high-end hunting, survival, or outdoor knives. It will hold its own in that respect. Good addition to anyone's outdoor collection.

Awesome knife
Green handle version looks sick, ergonomic handle and very grippy. Blade shape looks sick. More nimble and balanced than it looks, and it came very sharp.

Brutish Overbuilt Tanto
Eafengrow is doing like other manufacturers and going big or going home. This thing is a tanto ( traditionally a combat profile) but they have upsized it to make it more of a large survival/ bushcraft knife. It is very heavy, but it chops well like a small axe with pretty good forward weight. I chopped crosswise, performed a straight batoning and a side split baton - it passed and then made curlies from some kindling pine. No hot spots on the hand after beating the snot out of it, and no noticeable edge issues or rolling on the blade. The sheath is nicely done, no rattling was noticed. A very good knife, just super heavy.

What a beast!
What can you say about this beast of a knife? You can say that it is a giant hunk of DC53 steel that can take whatever beating you're capable of dishing out. There's a youtube video of legion tacticool batoning this thing through a freakin log with a giant knot in it. This knife is the goon/bodyguard that follows your EDC knife around to act as the muscle. My other knives have been emasculated by the presence of this bruiser. Seriously heavy duty.
