Great all bands radio including ssb. It's not a radio for the timid. Basically there are settings for everything and if your looking for simple this is not the receiver for you. There are 3 external jacks for other antennas. It allows you to record directly to an SD card. If you enjoy playing with different settings for best reception this is a great radio! Jack N8NSX

I can't comment on the fancy radio stuff. I bought it for FM it receives reception as good as any other radio I have. AM works fine here.I'm making this review because someone else out here will want to know:The audio input doesn't seem to add any special processing that causes latency. It's obviously not studio monitor quality, but if you're looking for an extra device that gives you a way to reference without latency then this is pretty great.I didn't notice it in the advertisement here, but it also works as a USB sound card; though I can't get usbc to usbc cables working. I have to go usbc to usba. Plugging it into a hub connected to my android phone let me use it with music production apps without any noticeable latency.You can record radio, but can't record from USB (would have been nice).Several review videos complain about build quality. Mine feels solid.-1 star for not letting me switch the temperature to F(reedom units).

Really like the radio but lack of shielding does it in.If you live near FM or TV broadcast towers, the signals will overwhelm the front end. Took the radio 30 miles away from everything and all signals were still being overwhelmed.Does better on VHF and UHG but still gets bleed thru.If it had better shielding on the front end and PLL, it would be 5 stars easy.Manual needs to be consolidated as you find little bits of information scattered throughout instead of being together in one section. It's not horrible but read the entire manual as your using it.

As a radiophile, and as a long time shortwave listener, I was looking forward to receiving this new "all band" little rig. So far it doesn't dissapoint. It is NOT for a caual listener nor would I recommend it to someone looking for a simple little radio. It has a steep learning curve but, once you have explored all of it's options and understand the varied intricacies of this radio, well, it is well worth the effort. I like it!

Received as a gift from my wife. She got what turns out to be the TOP reviewed short wave portable that existes, even better than the Grundig 700! Astounding coverage from 100 khz to 999 mhz that only software defined radio can deliver. The 18650 lithium ion rechargeable, REMOVABLE cells give days of operation. The really good instruction manual tells almost everything and youtube.com the rest. Default, out of the box it mutes EVERY tuning step but you can reduce that by changing the "mute" setting from enable to disable so it mutes every 100 hz instead of every hertz. The bluetooth capability is ONLY for smart phone or android control of the radio not for audio in or out. Big deal. Hands-on is more fun!The build quality is top tier. Very solid, mechanically appealing and well lit. The main tuning knob (or ring) feels quite delicate but operates very precicely.You will be required to spend some time with the radio and the manual to really understand what can be done. Like any real radio receiver, you will be rewarded by rigging a serious outside antenna. I have yet to experiment with this and digital communications programs.The display screens are vivid and crisp. And you can change their color! This is a really great and powerful radio with functions galore and will take some time to get familiar with all its many fine features.As prior reviewers have already stated: it is a very difficult user interface. Even the app is not intuitive. The buttons on the actual radio are VERY unresponsive to the extent you assume they are NON-responsive (and sometimes they ARE non-responsive). But I eventually got it to a basic-set up by a combination of the app and button pressing. We will see if it gets any easier to use and enjoy as I learn the functions and how to access them.
