We tried 4 different models/manufacturers and the Carpuride is the best of all. Although the android auto and carplay software appear to be the same, the Carpuride components must be of higher quality. They offer several mounting options and the FM-tuning sound quality is as good as the Bluetooth quality.

Love it but the remote never works

My daughter loves driving her 2004 Chevy Colorado. She used to just use her iPhone 13 mounted in front of the dash for navigation and streaming music, so I decided to get her this, so she could have a bigger display that could be used with Carplay (and hopefully make it less likely to be fiddling with her phone and trying to look at its smaller screen for driving directions).The worst part about this screen is that none of the brackets for the mount didn't really work for her truck. We ended up getting a third-party CD slot mount that worked much better (i.e., more stable) than the one that came with this.Aside from that one issue, everything else has been great, making this a really good value at the $110 cost at time of order. Setup went pretty quickly, taking about 5 few minutes to connect the iPhone 13 wirelessly to this screen. The iPhone 13 connects to a bluetooth FM transmitter in the truck, allowing the audio output of this screen to go through the truck's speakers. Best of all, it has been problem-free with almost daily use, connecting within 10-15 seconds without fail (so far) after 3-1/2 months. A nice bonus for a parent like me is the included steering wheel control that we were able to fit easily and securely onto the truck's OEM steering wheel; with this, she has basic phone and media controls available to her without taking her hand off the wheel.I was considering giving this only 4 or 4.5 stars because of those brackets. However, that could have just been specific to us considering we have a pretty old vehicle. Besides, everything else about this screen has been so great for us, that I would feel bad not giving it all 5 stars.

Way overpriced. Lag in controls, no backup camera, and major issues with connecting it consistently. Take $100 off the price tag and even then it is just an okay buy. The sound is okay, but it isn't any better than models costing less than half this price. Very disappointed and I realize you don't always get what you pay for.

This portable CarPlay screen makes driving in my older car so much easier and more fun now. I love being able to clearly see my Apple Maps and Google Maps navigation on the well-sized screen, and it connects seamlessly and wirelessly to my phone. I absolutely love being able to play music through my car's speakers through Bluetooth yet being connected to the CarPlay. Can't recommend and praise this device enough. It also allows for Screen Mirroring and AirPlay. Highly recommend.

I have a car that has a stereo without Bluetooth or aux jack. My stereo, also, cannot be easily replaced, it would cost $1000s to swap the stereo out. That makes this Carpuride interesting. That doesn't mean that the Carpuride is a good idea.First of all, the music is transmitted through radio signals. Second, it has the same functionality, actually less, than your phone. Add to the fact that you have to mount this thing somewhere, and you have a big, unnecessary mess. Seriously, just mount your phone in the dash and use a Bluetooth to fm transmitter, this will save you $100 (or more). While having a bigger screen is nice, it's not so nice that it's worth $125.So, the mounting options in this suck. The dash disk didn't even pretend to stick to anything, the mount doesn't articulate enough to get a good angle for viewing and the screen washes out in the sun.OK, I'm cutting this short....If you have a Motorcycle, I can see something like this being useful, but not this one. The mounting options aren't good enough for a motorcycle.If you don't want to use your actual phone to control music, then this works. You are limited to carplay/android auto screen, so it's not really useful by itself.Blah, I don't get why you would pay for this when a $20 BT to FM dongle does the same thing.
