My granddaughter watches the series Unicorn Academy these are the characters. The toys are made well with bright colors! She loves them!

I'm not exactly the target demographic for the Unicorn Academy Doll Playset. My usual Saturday nights involve less sparkle and more…well, let's just say they involve decisions I probably shouldn't be blogging about. But, my daughter? She's fully engulfed in the Netflix show, the books, and now, apparently, the urgent need to own Ava and her color-changing unicorn, Leaf.So, I caved.And now, I'm the proud owner of a miniature stable overrun with plastic butterflies and a tiny bucket of what I can only assume are "sky berries" (probably just overpriced plastic blueberries). Leaf, bless her little plastic heart, is apparently always thirsty for sky berries. I haven't had this much pressure to provide snacks since my last Thanksgiving dinner.The big selling point, of course, is the color-changing magic. You dunk the included (and surprisingly absorbent) sponge in ice water and dab it on Leaf to reveal… some green swirls. Look, it’s not exactly the transformative experience promised in the show, but it’s enough to keep my daughter entertained for approximately 7 minutes, which is a lifetime in toddler time.Ava, the doll, is… a doll. She’s got posable arms and legs, which means she can dramatically “hold” the spray bottle (which is, predictably, empty – because WHY would you give a child a working spray bottle?). Her facial expression permanently screams, "More Sky Berries, Leaf! We have a destiny to fulfill!"Now, let's talk accessories. There are FIFTEEN of them. FIFTEEN. My vacuum cleaner is currently undergoing therapy thanks to the sheer number of tiny plastic components it’s had to swallow. I'm pretty sure I saw my cat eyeing up the bridle with a nefarious glint in his eye, too.In conclusion, the Unicorn Academy Playset is… fine. It's plastic, it's pink, it's surprisingly good at absorbing messes (thanks, Leaf!), and it keeps my daughter occupied. Just be prepared to spend the next few weeks tripping over tiny plastic butterflies, explaining the intricate lore of plant magic to your confused cat, and developing a deep, abiding respect for the tenacity of a 5-inch plastic horse demanding its daily sky berry ration.Would I buy it again? Probably. My daughter's happiness is worth more than my sanity… right? At least until Leaf starts demanding organic sky berries. Then we're drawing the line.

This Unicorn Academy Leaf and Ava doll set is absolutely adorable! I actually got it for my wife, and she loved it immediately. It’s still in the package, sitting on her shelf as a little display piece, and it looks great just as it is.The packaging itself is nice for collectors, and the details on both the unicorn and Ava are really well done. Even though we’re not opening it up, it’s clear that the quality is solid, and the colors are vibrant. If you’re a fan of the series or just love unicorn-themed collectibles, this is a great little addition to any shelf!

I ordered this for my 5 year old who is obsessed with the Unicorn Academy on Netflix. It is a very cute play set. This toy has provided plenty of imaginative fun and a little frustration. It took me 10 (maybe 15) minutes to get all of the pieces out of the box. I have unboxed many toys over the years but this one was particularly difficult. Once opened my daughter played with it for 20 minutes straight. Then I pointed out to her that she can wet the sponge and it would reveal the designs on Leaf. Well, the results were very underwhelming. We tried cold and hot water and there was no color change to reveal the designs. She would have been happier if I never mentioned the design reveal thing. Overall it’s a cute toy and if your child enjoys the Netflix show then they will likely enjoy this toy.

My 2 and 3 year old have really taken to this show and just had to have this set! Honestly, the small pieces are a bit young for them to thoroughly enjoy the way they deserve, but they love it nonetheless! The Ava doll is posable and they enjoy moving her arms and legs. But the real highlight of this set is Leaf and her magic coat. They absolutely love wiping her down with the wet sponge and her "magic" appearing. And then it disappearing as it dries is just as magical to them! The little extra pieces are teaching them how to do more pretend play, putting Leaf in the stable and feeding her. The pieces seem nice quality and look like the characters from the show. Overall, a good product.

I had never heard of Ava and Leaf before, but got this for my granddaughter who loves unicorns (apparently it goes with some show on Netflix). The quality of the toy looks and feels pretty solid, and it comes with some cute accessories (bucket, brush, etc). That being said, there are some things lacking. I am almost certain my granddaughter has never watched this show, nor have I, so we wouldn’t really know what the cryptic pictures on the box are supposed to mean (as far as directions / instructions). They aren’t obvious directions at all. Why do you dip the bucket in ice water or cold water? These are classic out of country directions with pictures and signs that don’t really make sense at all. Not everyone (like our family) who purchases this toy watches the show it belongs to. If this does something that isn’t obvious from just looking at it, the company that made it should include clear directions and pictures / signs that are straight forward. Also, this is not giftable. It arrived in something that looked like it was fought over in Walmart, possibly got stepped on, and then someone tried to tape the box shut with basic scotch tape. It was not sent out in anything that protected it and it showed big time. You would not want to give it to anyone in that condition. Not sure I can recommend it in the condition that it arrives in.
