I love this item.
I really like this Scottish fudge, also known as Tablet. I donât like the normal fudge because itâs like playdo or clay. This Tablet falls apart and has a really nice flavour, sort of crunchy and breaks apart. This is mainly cooked by adding sugar and condensed milk. Iâve made it myself before and tastes pretty good.Iâve bought this large bucket size and shared it with my family.

This sure is confectious! EDITED
EDITED: 27th December 2023 ~ đSadly, my last order was rather gritty.Hopefully a random blip!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------đ âLuxury tablet handmade to a traditional Scottish recipe ~ We believe some things are worth sharingâŚâEr...noâŚsorry! I have to argueâŚthese 2 x 150 g packs have gone into my âspecial, just-for-me cupboardâ, especially as no one else saw them arrive! From Giffnock, GlasgowâŚwithout doubt, this is the closest TABLET I have found, to date, that looks & tastes just like my Nanna used to make as little wrapped bars for local church funds. She had her own recipe; a treasured piece of paper handed down when the time was right, like folks did in those days. The finished product is paler in colour than some versions, which is just right for me; slightly grainy (never gritty) but firm in texture with that unique, creamy taste as it melts in the mouth.ooOooâż CONFECTIOUS (Aldomak)âż TOTALLY TEMPTINGâż TABLET~ SIZE : 150 g âSHARING BAGâ x 2âSuitable for Vegetariansâđ âPassing on is the Confectious way and delicious confectionery is the order of the day.Our tasty little treats are inspired by retro recipes, passed on to us through generations of crafty confectioners who knew a thing or two about taste...âooOooEach pack measures around 19 cm x 11.5 cm and has an average of 12 pieces of delicious tablet. The packs are easy-tear at the top where indicated and they do have a re-sealable strip, but the instructions state:đ âStore in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.Once opened, store in an airtight container.âooOooMANUFACTURER DETAIL:đ âThis is where the science starts! Our tablet is made in small batches and we used generations of experience to deliver this delicious handmade product.'INGREDIENTS:~ SUGAR, SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK (WHOLE MILK, SKIMMED MILK, SUGAR), WATER, BUTTER (MILK), SKIMMED MILK POWDERMay also contain nuts, gluten sources (oats), egg, soya and Sesame seeds.â

Melts in the mouth
I bought this as part of a birthday gift for a friend who came from Scotland but has lived in the English Midlands for some twenty years. I used to buy her tablet from our local Thorntons shop, but that closed down and they don't seem to stock it online. I've tried various other outlets and varieties of tablet but none of them seemed to be quite right. This, on the other hand, really hit the spot. She said that the texture is perfect - quite hard to bite but melts away in the mouth; even the Thorntons brand was a bit too soft and chewy. The flavour is great, sweet but not sickly. The resealable packaging keeps it nice and fresh, so she has been able to nibble a couple of pieces a day with no loss of flavour. She gave it the greatest accolade she can - it tastes just like the tablet her grandma used to make back in Aberdeen. I shall definitely be back for more!

Very nice tablet
For all that know true Scottish tablet to try and create something similar it is difficult, nonetheless this is a very similar alternative to home made. It has the same crumbly buttery sweet texture so it's definitely worth a go.
