Too small for the price
Tree was too small and died, the other one is doing great fine! Picture shows both trees in shipment with the one I am requesting a refund for, is in the foreground by the little bamboo stick. Pathetic looking!

They died
I don't want to blame the company I bought these from but I bought 2 of these and they died quickly, one before I planted it and the other about a week after I planted it. I'm a novice gardener but I do have somewhat of a green thumb so I was surprised that they didn't make it longer, maybe it's just ordering mail order since this is the first time I have done that.

Small but lovely
It was packaged very well, and I transplanted it to a container right away. It's doing very well, and although it's a relatively small graft (about 3' tall with a handful of small branches at the top wit several leaves each), it is very healthy and already has some new growth. I had it in a more sunny spot (I read these could tolerate it), but the leaves were turning a bit green, so I just moved it to a shadier area that gets about an hour of morning sun a day. The leaves are a beautiful burgundy color and the lacy shape is just wonderful. I would definitely buy from this seller agsin, and I hope this tree survives for many years.

A nice tree for a good price.
Because I had no idea how big or full a 3 year graft was supposed to be, I didn't have high expectations regarding the size. It arrived very well packaged and healthy. It had 3 strong branches with many leaves and was about 2 1/2 ft tall. I believe it is a good value, especially because I didn't want to pay $150-$200 at a nursery. It will take a couple years to get to where I want it to be, but I'm patient.

Not quite what I expected
I have ordered these type of trees off of Amazon before, so i somewhat knew what to expect. These particular trees didn't quite live up to expectations.1. The trees were packed in standard box mailers that were taped together to form a larger mailer. I tried to mail these back for a refund and the post office told me that I couldn't tape mailers together like that...so I had to wrap them in brown paper before the mail would even take them.2. 2 of the 3 trees I ordered had significant breaks in the branches, the other had breaks as well, just not quite as significant.3. The graft on these tress is very high. The graft on the three trees I received was 14-18" above the roots. This basically means the entire tree was about 1/2 grafted tree, and 1/2 actual maple.4. Product was returned to sender for full refund, so all is well in my world.

Good Service...Wimpy Tree
The media could not be loaded. I'll take the hit on this one. Perhaps I don't know what a 3 year graft should look like, but what arrived was not what I imagined would be coming out of the box. I wasn't expecting a full grown tree of course, but the picture is deceptive. ESPECIALLY since it is noticeably larger than the picture shown for the 2 year graft. I only rated 2 stars because the service I got was good. I sent and email and the seller expedited shipping for me even though I had selected the wrong option when ordering. I just have a thing for COMPLETE disclosure. While my twig may someday grow up to look like the handsome specimen in the picture. Its a far cry from that now.

Still in good health and starting to grow new branches
Was a bit taller than expected, but it was thriving in box despite being delivered in a snowstorm. Still in good health and starting to grow new branches. Extremely excited to see how this specimine grows 😀
