Best of all the models available.
If you're in the market for an 60A speed controller, you'll quickly find three models of these controllers in the market.I've tried all three of them, and though others might have neat features such as an LED display of the percentage output, or a reverse button, this simple unit happens to dissipate the least amount of heat.I end up keeping this unit to drive my 40lb trolling motor which has a 50A draw.

Trolling couldn’t be easier now!!
I use it in my boat with a Minnkota 70 ft. lb. Edge trolling motor. Installed it in an electrical enclosure I found at Lowes. Added a small 24vdc fan to ensure I didn’t overheat it in a sealed box. Used two round electrical boxes meant for light fixtures to provide an intake and exhaust for the fan. Sealed the knockouts on the top of them and opened up the bottom knockouts. No water intrusion this way. Used Goop to seal up everything. Also used waterproof cable fittings to get the heavy wire into the enclosure.Used it hard for two days while fishing with no issues. It also does not cause interference to my fish finder whose transducer is installed on the trolling motor. The remote control is a great asset when navigating while trolling with several rods.Bill

Great automotive fan controller.
I got this controller to run an automatically controlled variable speed cooling fan from my haltech ECU on my race car. It has no problem running a 16-inch fan that draws 40 amps, at any speed. In order to control the speed I had to purchase a solid state relay and drive the relay off of a pulsed ground that was provided by my ecu output because I could not generate a 5 volt pwm signal directly. But it does exactly what I wanted to do and it was extremely affordable. Zero motor noise at lower speeds. Zero current draw with switch off. Great product.

Full Throttle Scary
I am not sure if it is my application but the results were a bit scary. I see a lot of good reviews for this product and this is my 3 board but 2 were from a different manufacturer. My application is overvolting a my1016 brushed motor rated at 24 volts and 350 watts. Trying to run something north of that. On a bench test the variability was not observed simply but using a voltmeter with no load on the board. I put a 9 volt motor on it with the volt meter and the variability worked. When I went full scale and put it on an MX350 Dirt Rocket the potentiometer has no effect on the variability of the speed. It just rolls out 50+ volts. If this is a board failure I am not sure why it would fail to full throttle but either way I have to send it back. In this case third time was not a charm.

this thing is really cool !
I am using this to controller the AC/Heater blower motor on my 85 Chevy pick-up. A correct install can be a little difficult depending on the location of the control board and potentiometer . I located the board out under the hood close to the battery and the potentiometer inside at the AC controls . You need a 5 conductor wire form the board going to the pot inside truck. I used CAT5 cable. I used 10awg wire from the battery to the board. 10 awg from board to motor also. Works Awesome !!

Beefy motor controller for heavy duty DC motors with commutator brushes
I was on my 3rd power-resistor defroster fan motor speed controller in my truck. The motor was drawing over 30 Amps and cooked the stock power resistor replacements in a week or two. The resistors would blister and crack open releasing insulating "sand" all over my truck carpet.I tried the power resistor setup with another (analog) speed controller - that lasted about 2-3 weeks before it smoked. The Amperage specs on that controller were "highly optimistic". The seller to his credit refunded my money.I decided to replace the analog controller with this controller. I figured a PWM controller like this one would deal with the high current and harsh environment better.I was right.I built a box for the circuit board and mounted it inside my dashboard and connected up the wires. I couldn't be happier. It doesn't even get warm at either low or high fan speeds. I have been using it daily for almost a year.Next step is to mount the speed-controller's potentiometer in my dash where the old fan speed knob used to fit.

DROK and product- the best!
From other reviews of this board, it appeared the best available to handle higher current small dc motors. It did make my 30 lb. thrust trolling motor much more efficient and smoothly usable at extremely low speeds. However, after the first hour of use, the board smoked and burned out. DROK was very responsive in troubleshooting the problem. The max current draw was only 12V/25A, but the day was extremely hot and humid and the enclosure I used did not have enough air flow, as condensation had formed. The DROK techs suspected from the parts damaged that there had been a physical short, but offered me a refund/replacement anyway. The replacement has been working perfectly! Thanks to an excellent, highest-recommended company! I now have fine speed control and extended run-time for my diy solar-powered barge.
