Excellent Product!!!
I bought two 12 packs (one for each car). They come in a very decent carrying case. With that I decided to make them part of my road gear and carry them with me in my tractor trailer also.My very 1st trip with them and I lost an air line on a small mountain road at night in a bad curve, and without air, I wasn’t moving.I can only say WOW!!! Because of their size and ease of deployment (along with the fact that I had 12) I was able to quickly secure and mark the area. They were super bright and preformed even better than I had hoped.A state trooper stopped and commended me on the marking of the sight. Left me with a handful of flairs in case the batteries died. Which 3 hours later when the mechanic got the air line fixed they were all still going bright. I gave the mechanic the flairs 😃.Highly recommend these, and hope you never need them, but if you do you will be glad you have them!

Comparison with safety cones, flares, reflective signs, etc.
Outfitting the family car for emergencies, I had many and widely ranging concerns. I didn't want to store large amounts of emergency equipment and on top of that, have that equipment fail during an actual emergency. I wanted something effective, fool-proof, and something that didn't take up a lot of space. So I considered safety cones, flares, reflective signs, and other light products.First, I considered what most roadside crews use - cones. What I found was that most cheap cones and collapsible cones will be blown away if there is ample wind, or a car or truck whips by your cone. To avoid that issue, you can buy heavy weighted cones but those don't collapse and they take up a lot of space in your trunk and they're very expensive.Second, I considered flares. I've also seen these used for roadside emergencies. They definitely stand out more than cones, they're visible from farther away, you can outline a boundary that's a safe distance from your car, and there's the benefit of no batteries required. The negatives for flares include the chance that you hold them the wrong way and you drop smoldering embers onto your skin or clothes, the flares can roll out of position, the flares will go out if you drop them instead of placing them down, you may accidentally place them in an area with gasoline or other flammable liquids making for a terribly dangerous fire hazard, they're not reusable because you have to break them out to put them out (and because once you expose the ignition and striker, it's dangerous to store them in that state) -which also makes more work for you. Worst in my book is that there are documented cases of flares igniting within a cargo area when they're jostled around and the striker and ignition pieces get exposed.Third, I considered reflective signs. I felt these were not universally understood as roadside emergency. They could be mistaken for bumper stickers or business signs, for example. Also, cars have to be fairly nearby for their headlights to reflect off the signs. Although easy to store, they're also easy to accidentally bend and so forth. For me, these just weren't cutting it in the effectiveness department. Finally, I considered lights. What was most important to me about lights was lumens (brightness), battery life, how easy it was to place them in visible areas. Most lights are sold to go on the top of the roof or on the windshield or onto the back window. These lights are so much more effective because you can outline your entire car with them by just sticking them on. If it's safe to let your child out of the car, even a child could do it. Sometimes I take a couple with me when I go walking because they're easy to spot in case of emergency. Also, It was important to me that they blinking patterns are universally understood as emergency, just like a car's hazard lights. The brightness is great. We've had them over a year and batteries are still fine. They're very compact. They're very affordable. I think these are the best choice for roadside safety and you can also use them for camping, on hikes, on bicycles, basically any time you need a bright light because they're very multipurpose.

Great but didn't receive flashlight or seatbelt cutter
Got these instead of flares because they are more visible and out here in the west, they don’t pose the risk of wildfire that flares can present. They seem sturdy, bright and the magnet on the back is nice. Hook on the back can also be used to hang or prop up the lights. Flashlights on each disc are also useful. I would have given them five stars but I didn’t receive the other items in the package - no seatbelt cutter, no separate flashlight and no multitool. It’s not a big deal but it’s annoying. I would have preferred another flare to the extras that I didn’t get.

Bright
Bright, and easy to use. I bought these to help find a boat dock at night. These can be seen from a great distance away. My aunt saw them and bought them for her vehicle incase or a roadside emergency where being seen is needed.

Really bright lights, easy to set up!
UPDATE 11/18/24 (4 YEARS after purchase)Driving in the early morning before dawn I hit a deer, and the deer killed my car. I managed to get out to the Highway where hope of a rescue was greater. No one stopped, even with my hazard lights on. Finally remembered my flares... activated and stuck them all over the car. Very soon after, someone stopped to help me as well as the State Patrol. THESE LIGHTS ARE A FANTASTIC SAFETY FEATURE. I was grateful the batteries still worked after sitting around 4 years with no use. I'm SO glad I have them. I just bought more for gifts to the people that helped me.- - - - -12/24/20 We bought the 12 pack to divide between 2 vehicles. I'm so happy to have these and hope I never have to use them - BUT, if I do, I absolutely know people are going to see me! They are super bright, have multiple settings, stick easily to your vehicle (magnet) or lay on the ground. There's a hanger also, but I'm not sure how useful that would be other that to help get them apart to change batteries. I'm going to include these in many Xmas gifts next year because they're an important safety issue - something everyone should have. Buy it now - you won't be disappointed.

Perfect for the Car, Truck, or Van
I received a set as a Mother's Day gift from my son and was so pleased with them that I purchased them as gifts for my children. We are all very happy with having the kits in case of an emergency. We hope we never have to use them but if we do, it is an added sense of security. The discs are very bright and are magnetized to place on your vehicle. Just carry extra batteries in case you need to use them for a long period of time, or they have been sitting for a while. I placed the whistle on my key chain and keep the seat belt cutter/glass breaker in my car door. The discs are stored in the compact bag under my driver's seat in my campervan.
