How is the version different from the original version ?

Quicker than the original version.

It does not work while i am walking with it. can someone recommend one that works even while i am walking? thank you

We usually advise users of our pulse oximeters to keep their hand still while taking a reading because any movement can cause the device to reset its' reading. If you are in the middle of exercising, you can perhaps take the readings in between running/walking. I hope this helps. Does this have an alarm?

Hi, my name is Tina and I am with Beyond Med Shop. Thank you for your interest in our product. For your information, this particular model does not have the alarm function. We do carry pulse oximeter model 500C that has the alarm function. The alarm allows you to set high and low parameters for both blood oxygen level (SpO2) and pulse rate. Alarm will go off when readings go above or below set parameters. I hope you will find this helpful.
