Over time I have found that plastic pool brushes have a relatively short life ;I use mine for sweeping the area around an open air pool, dealing with leaves, twigs etc, as well as the usual cleaning function, so it has to be robust; this one is excellent ; sturdy, with good coverage, the wide head reducing time spent. Experience has taught me that the weak points are the join of the brush head to the metal strip along the top of the brush, and the strength of the shaft of the head where it fits into the pole. This passes on both counts. Good quality means value. I cannot fault it on design or quality .

This brush is hardcore. Yes it removed algae form the sides of the pool but also removed the sides of the pool along with it. I stupidly carried on brushing away until I realised that the clouds in the pool were more than algae. My pool turned the colour of green milk and I had to resort to using an awful pool flocculant to get everything to sink to the bottom then wasted hundreds of gallons of water vacuuming to straight waste. The brush also lost literally hundreds of bristles.I bought a nylon brush and a pool robot. Months later the pool robot is still picking up the odd metal bristle.
