This magnet is very strong. I have a heavy gun and I tried a 55lb magnet of another brand and my gun dropped. So I ordered this magnet and wow does it hold I just put it in place and it does the rest. I definitely would recommend this to anyone.

It holds my Remington 870 perfectly. I would recommend longer screws and try to find a stud. I wouldn't trust hollow wall anchors.

It will not hold a 7 1/2" (barrel) AR -15 300 AAC.

Got this for storing our 410 shotgun in our motor home's closet. Securely screwed it to an inside corner allowing gun to be safely tucked away but easily accessible. The power of the magnet is impressive and it holds the barrel even through a fabric covering.

I have a Panzer Bull pup 12 gauge I wanted to attach to a wall in my closet. I would guess it weighs around 45 pounds if that. This magnet will not hold it up on the wall. Second brand of Magnet that has let me down. Just using it for a handgun instead.

Makesure you mount this directly into a stud, otherwise it will pul out of the drywall. this has a string magnetic force! can mount any rifle or shotgun without any issue, will not mark the finish
