Truth review. Tough and timeless.
Yes, there are cheaper mic stands. No, it’s not light or easy to carry. So why buy it? Because it lasts and is a classic. The weight, feel and easy adjustability just make this the perfect engineered mic stand that you want to grow old with and still use 30 years from now. It doesn’t degrade or need to be improved. Buy one. You won’t regret owning it.

Great as Standard Mic Stands. Even Better as Light Stands!
As affordable basic (low profile) mic stands, these Pyle stands work well, for a very fair price. The base is compact and heavy enough for proper stability, and the height adjustment works well. What I really love using these stands for, however, is as more compact light-stands for wand lights (such as these https://amzn.to/3KWLA0p ) around the house. By using the Pyle mic stands instead of the light tripod stands that come with the lights, I can place the lights in tighter spaces, with less to trip over, and it is definitely an upgrade in stability. Depending on which lights you use, do a quick check to make sure the light's mounting area matches the size of the Pyle, but so far, I've had success with a number of light fitting perfectly, and for those that don't, there are always plenty of adapter options.

Great Mic Stand!
Just got this mic stand for my home karaoke set up. It seems nice and sturdy and was also very easy to assemble. If I had to pick one beef it’s the clip that holds the mic as opposed to sliding it in and holding the mic that way. But as long as the clips hold I’m good! It’s also the right size for my tall self and can be lowered for shorter singers. I got two of them - debating whether or not I actually need two, but if it’s turns out I don’t I’m definitely keeping one. Way better than the flimsy gooseneck mic stands that they have on here…

Pyle Mic Stands are now LESS HEAVY and "LIGHTER" at the bottom
This is an okay mic stand. But I own about 4 Pyle mic stands and they have just started making the bases "lighter" than in the past. If you think this is going to be like the ones from a few years ago, you will be disappointed. It's lighter and base is lighter. On the other hand, if you are "wanting" a light an easier to carry mic stand, you might be pleased with this. But it will be too light to put a tablet or anything on top. It will suffice just fine for a "mic" only at the top

Can take a beating
Not literally...just saying. Bought this in December 2023 and I've used the heck out of it for themed karaoke parties, going away parties, and just regular ole gatherings. I'd say more than 100 people have had their hands on this thing...and there may or may not have been alcohol involved.I wasn't surprised that the 2 springs, housed in the clip which holds the microphone in place, popped out. What did surprise me was the ease with which I contacted the manufacturer and their response time. All I asked for were the two springs. I figured I could fix it myself seeing as I know it was my fault. But they sent me a brand new clip within just a few days time!!!I love this mic stand. I bought it specifically to have fun with my friends and family. But if you're a serious singer and have no plans to share your equipment then buy this mic stand. it's resilient, the base is super heavy. The whole thing is just sturdy. And of course, the great customer support is also good incentive.

Excellent quality and price
I've stumbled across A LOT of poorly-constructed mic stands on stages -- which should have been replaced years ago but so long as it's still standing up, it keeps getting used. Broken threads, screws that will no longer tighten, clutches that either don't hold or wont' let go.So I was very happy to see this no-frills, solid stand at a very reasonable price. After putting a few months of work into them, they are definitely going to be a repeat buy for me.

Not as advertised
Pyle generally makes good equipment which I'd recommend. However this mic stand is a case of false advertising, as they're now shipping a cheaper product than the one pictured. As another review stated, the base is now thin and light, not the thicker one pictured in the listing. Also the mic clip is not a squeeze clamp as pictured but is just a standard slide-in clamp which comes with any cheap microphone. Additionally, the stand was very difficult to screw into the machined metal base and required some oil and a lot of effort to screw in completely.I'm sure this product will be fine for my home recording purposes so I'll keep it, but the unfortunate business decision to quietly replace parts of it with inferior substitutes is an insult to consumers that needs to be called out.

Almost great!
The media could not be loaded. Bases are solid weight like 10 pounds each. The stand looks like it could be really good , but unfortunately I received one that the post did not screw onto the bases. Bought something else, didn’t have time to wait for replacement.
