I got this automated food dispenser for my cat (IG handle @nexu_kitty). It was super easy to put together, although I did have to purchase some D batteries for it. At first he was afraid of the noise, but after a couple goes ~ he figured out that it had food and now he loves it! He comes running to eat as soon as he hears the sound of food coming out.It is very easy to program, and you can set the serving size for each meal. If you’re trying to keep your peg on a strict diet and watching portion size for them then this is a god send. Also Sometting I Love is that he is so excited to eat his kibble from it that I no longer need to entice him with wet cat food.

The media could not be loaded. I love it! It's perfect for people with busy schedules or that travel away from home. It's great for cats and dogs. I set it to feed my dog in the morning when she'd normally wake me up. I get to sleep in now. 😁. When I work late, I can set it to feed her so I'm not delaying her eating schedule. I only need the "babysitter" to walk her without the worry of the time she's eating or how much she's eating. I preset all 3 meals.This is great for a cat as well. If you travel, you could leave without worry. I'm buying one for my grand fur babies too!!

I bought this for my rabbits.--They chewed through the cord in the second that I turned my head away. Granted, this is partially my fault, but the cord is SUPER thin and not very pet resistant. This leads into my second point...--The unit is not very heavy, even with food in filled all the way to the brim. The problem with this is that with the bowl attached, the rabbits easily pull it around. I had to remove the bowl, fill the machine halfway with pellets and then put a small 20lb weight inside to make them not be able to move it. Now they can't move it, but the food falls straight to the ground instead of the nice attached bowl. A tradeoff, I suppose.--The portion sizing is a bit inconsistent. Sometimes the portions are small and other times it's larger. I don't forsee this to be a problem for dogs (who have more portions), but for rabbits who need small, controlled portions it's a little inconvenient.--If the rabbits scratch at the machine or knock it, it usually (easily) drops pellets down the chute. So for about 30min after they get fed, they scratch at the machine and keep trying to knock more food out. This wouldn't be so bad...if they weren't successful at it. But they are, so they keep going.So why give it a 4/5? Well, it wasn't super expensive, the battery powered bit works fine, and after all my modifications and such it works reasonably well for what it is. Programming the feeding time and portions was a piece of cake.That's all.

I have been using this product for approximately six months and now the motor will run but no food comes out and it just makes noise. Extremely frustrating, especially because I ordered this from Canada and had to pay extra for duties. I would like to make contact with someone from the company to discuss this.Additionally, when it did work, I found the minimum portion size still to be too large. I bought the machine to stop my cat from eating her food too quickly, hoping that small meals multiple times a day would help. Unfortunately, even the smallest amount of food was too much to be a small meal. Positively, the timer function works very well and it holds a lot of food.

I purchased these to a) help monitor portions as my cats have gained a bit of weight b) feed them when I’m out of town.Things to know:It uses military time setting.It comes with a usb cable but not the part that you plug into the wall. I’m glad I also purchased batteries.It was easy to set up and holds a good amount of food if you are going to travel for a few days or don’t want to worry about feeding them throughout the day. I’ve played around with the time settings and the portion sizes this week but I’m very happy with the purchase.

Got two feeders so each cat had one. After a few months one wouldn't keep the proper time so would dispense middle of the day and night. 6 months later it kept making horrible noises when it would dispense the food. Now kind you one of them does it at random times, so we would hear a loud grinding noise middle of the night. Couldn't stand it anymore so unplugged them and have the cats food in normal bowls again.

i would love this if it actually dispensed the right portion size. the setup is easy and the instructions are easy to follow. i set the time, meals, and portion size. i weighed the amount dispensed over 3 days and was not happy. it dispensed the first portion correctly but each subsequent portion was way too much (nearly 10 grams over each time). thank goodness they allowed hassle free returns.

This product was delivered on time in sturdy packaging. I have found as my cats get older that twice daily (and timely) feedings are really best for them. This machine is made of sturdy plastic and is easy to clean. It is a bit tricky to program as the clock works on a 24 hour schedule. You have the option of using batteries or electricity, however, you will need a USB outlet converter to utilize electricity.I liked this enough to purchase another for my daughter!
