Q: What is the plug length? (the part that fits inside the tube)

Hi Michaek, the inside depth is 5/8 inch if I measure it from the top of the cap, if I measure is from the top of the cap under the top lip, it is 1/2 inch into the tube. I hope this helps, they fit perfect in my 1 1/4 inch dog kennel panel tubing.

Q: Do these fit standard US 1 1/4" steel pipe ? (the pipe's OD is actually 1.66" and ID is 1.38")

The 1 1/4" plugs only fit inside hole diameters from 1.0" - 1.19" (1" to 1 3/16"). You will need a 1 1/2" plug to fit a 1 3/8" (1.38") ID. Search Amazon for "B01N9QE3CJ" to find the 1 1/2" plugs.

Q: I need caps for a hard 1" inside diameter and hard 1.25" outside diameter, will these work?

The Amazon product description says "Fits inside hole diameters from 1.0" - 1.19" (1" to 1 3/16") Compatible outside tube diameter: 1.250 (1 1/4")" and I purchased based on that description. Based on that, it sounds like they will work for you. My purpose was to cap the upper ends of the four 'corner tubes' on two standard wire shelves that are used in standard steel wire shelving units sold on Amazon and elsewhere. They worked perfectly for that purpose.

Q: Would these fit into 3/4 sch 40 irrigation pvc ? It's ok if I have to really jam them to get them in, the outside finished diameter is fine..

I dont think so, its about 1/8" too big

They pop right in, and fit snug.

I’m so happy these fit well! On my chairs only the back two legs take the pop in caps, the front legs have smaller little legs, so I ordered this 10 pack but only needed 8 so I got 2 extra. I’m very happy that these sort of slide across linoleum floors instead of those stabbing holes into it. I’ve bought some of those rubber Ruby sliders and like Ace hardware rubber leg tips and neither of those worked as well as these capa.

Worked for me with modifications

I brushed the end cap off my mower bumper. I thought I would try these as a substitute for an expensive John Deere part as the original comes off easy. I had to trim some of the ribbing off as there was no way it would go into the 1 1/2” pipe, even with tapping with a hammer. After modifying it a bit, it works fine. Just note that the ribbing is very stiff.

good replacement for plastics footing on metal leg

The cover on the leg of my Weber leg got lost; it was scratching concrete and getting filled with mud—just a little nuisance. Well, this fixed the problem, and I have spares in case I lose one. Fits perfectly, does not scratch anymore, and I expect it to last longer than the cover that was on it from the factory.
