Yes please. What is the difference between the Edelstein and the pelikan 4001 ink?

I have used pelikan 4001 brilliant brown ink for 35 years. A friend gave me Edelstein aquamarine ink. There is a subtle difference in viscosity . It flows on the paper smoothly. A pen salesman told me that the formula is different for Edelstein inks and they are uniquely smooth on the page. My limited comparison affirms this. It is smoother on any paper, from moleskine journal to clairefontaine, rhodia, or tomoe river paper.

Has anybody else purchase the tanzanite? i received a bottle and box that said tanzanite. however the ink is basic black. quality control?

Hi, I have the Tanzanite bottled ink which is a Blue-Black ink. Just by looking at the bottle the ink appears black but is not. The only way to find out if they sent you the wrong item due to poor quality control is by opening it and test it.

Pelikan Edelstein Tanzanite is a lovely blue-black. Black is it not. I wonder if you have received Edelstein Onyx by mistake?
