I am not sure if this answers this question it does say that there is 20% benzocaine in this product. I have been using this on a regular bases for quite a while and it numbs the pain on my gums. I have a few missing teeth and every once in a while something hard it's there and causes pain. I use the orajel for a couple of days and I am happy for the relief.

The Most Effective

I’ve tried everything for tooth pain and this liquid is the only thing that actually works and it works really quickly too. I’m not sure if it absorbs better than the gel because it’s a thinner consistency, but it’s like magic. All it takes is a drop on your finger and within seconds of touching your gums, they’ll be numb.

Using for cracked tooth

I have a painful cracked tooth and I simply can NOT afford to see a Dentist living on social security. Yes it's painful but we do what we have to do, I don't have thousands of dollars for a root canal, can't even afford extraction at this time. This works fairly well, I just keep applying it when needed.

Wonderful if you have a sore on your gum, it definitely will cut down on the pain very quickly. If you have a toothache, it does the same.
