How many cards are in the base game? I want to buy sleeves for them but want to make sure i get enough

There are a total of 343 cards in the base game. 199 player cards, 5 of which would have to be sleeved so that both sides are visible (the hero cards are double sided). 137 encounter cards, 6 of these are double sided main scheme cards. 7 reference cards which don't need to be sleeved. Hope that is useful.

Is this the English language edition?

It is my son that has these games but as we are English I can’t imagine him buying something that wasn’t in English language. Hope this helps.

Why do the pictures not match the selection on the sleeves

The pictures do not match the description. I ordered: 4 Blue, 3 Orange, and 1 Purple to go with the core set and I got: 4 x Captain America and 4 Purple. Buy from elsewhere.
