Great product once you get it dialed in
Some assembly out of the box. You'll want to make sure you have a good machinist square to get the fence dialed in. Outfeed and infeed are pretty short, but were set perfectly out of the box. You may need to make accommodations if you want to joint anything longer than 4-5 feet. If you don't have dust collection you'll need to stay on top of dust chute accumulation, clearing it every couple of boards. Blade guard WILL contact the knifes during operation with even slight pressure on the top of it, so definitely avoid that. All that being said, I've been using mine for a few months now, and, after some reasonable accomodations and minor adjustments, it functions perfectly well. Worth the price.

Replacement works well
The replacement is good, and what I mean by that is I ordered one of these and took it out of the box. Then got it all calibrated and setup, which took around an hour as the instruction manual states. Ran a test board through it and on the 4th pass the motor shut down and would not turn on. Got a replacement issued which arrived quickly, so compliments to Amazon’s part, and set it up and now it’s working good. Does exactly what it’s supposed to and does it well. I’m not too concerned about the first one as it comes with a manufacturer warranty, but it was an inconvenience.

This is a great tool
I work on a lot of smaller projects (cutting boards, serving tray,s etc.) and this jointer has changed my life. It allows me to use wood I thought I would never use. I can make designs I never dreamed of before. It's easy to use. The set-up was a breeze. They say it takes an hour to set up; it's more like 15 minutes. Squaring it up was not a problem. It just does a great job. I'm sorry I waited so long to get one. If you have large projects this might not be for you, but for smaller jobs (up to six inches wide) it can't be beat. It's not heavy so can be moved around with ease.

Excellent value
This is my first jointer, so I don't have much to compare it to. The build quality is great, doesn't feel cheap. The dust collection is excellent! I just use a shop vac / cyclone combo for dust collection, and I needed to get an adapter to make it fit a shop vac hose, but I couldn't even see any dust in the air while using it.As a test, I jointed the face of a badly cupped 2x6. It didn't seem to have any problem with powering through all 6 inches of width, and after several passes it was perfectly flat and smooth. I am happy with the purchase!

Just an FYI
I have had my jointer since February. I have used it on a limited basis. It needed a lot of adjustments, which was fine. However, the motor did not last long at all. Tonight was my fifth or sixth time using it. I made a couple of passes on hardwood turned it off to check the stock and went to turn it on again to take a couple of more passes and the machine won't turn back on. No motor noise of any kind. Of course, I am passed my return window. I did check my outlets and plugs an they are all working. Looked for a reset button to see if that might be an issue, but don't seem to find one. Quite possible it might be the switch. Will try and take a look however with the limited times I have used it, I was hoping for a challenge free life with the product.

Rookie opinion
I am no expert in wood working . . I am just begin . . and as a beginner that is learning and was trying to do all by hand . . . This thing make the experience of wood working a easy experience . . there is a ton of ways to use other tools as a jointer but having one I know the reason why there is a machine dedicate to this work anyway . . back to the topic . . I do not have any complains regarding this machine . . the ensemble was extremely simple and the operation a pleasure (considering that I was doing it by hand I may be bias here . . jajaja) . . so I highly recommend
