A great tool to have on hand
Really nice little sidewinder. I found it to have ample power for ripping 1x and cutting 2x to length. The rafter hook and exhaust port are a nice touch too. My only complaint is the safety switch, which needs to be depressed by your thumb before you can pull the trigger, is kinda awkward and can be difficult to manage (I don't have very large hands). Still, after a little use it's not so bad I felt it deserved taking a star away for it.

Great too to add to your colleciton
If you have the Dewalt batteries, this is a great addition to your collection. Powerful, accurate and dust collection that actually works.

Great little saw
I chose this item because I have dewalt batteries so you have to buy dewalt. I would rather have the 7 inch blade but being right handed I chose the 6 1/2 because the blade is on the left side of the saw where it is easier to see the blade where as the 7 inch is on the right side of the motor. I like to be able to see the blade directly rather than trying to see the blade by looking over my right arm. Over all the saw is quite powerful and makes quick work of any sawing job I have.

DEWALT CIRCULAR SAW DCS566 vs DCS565B
This review is a comparison of model DCS565B and DCS566. I was sent the latter model by the seller in an unmarked box, i.e., not Dewalt packaging. Attached are photos of this model, which I initially thought was the replacement, upgraded version of the DCS565B.However, DeWalt responded by email that the DCS566 was actually replaced by the DCS565B and “discontinued” the DCS566, which may mean the DCS566 was scrapped before going into wide production. This is unclear as their info contained errors such as claiming that the base plate and other features are the same and they are clearly not.If you receive model DCS566, the notable DIFFERENCES in this model include the following:1. According to Dewalt, this model weighs 6.8 lbs in comparison to the lighter weight of the DCS565B at 6.3 lbs. This is probably due to item 2 below. With the included blade and my 20V Max 6.0Ah battery, the total DCS566 weight came in at 8.43 lbs, still lighter than the corded Dewalt 7-1/4” Circular Saw DWE575SB at 8.8 lbs. This matters if you will be using a circular saw for a length of time, if you will be regularly transporting your saw, or if you happen to have a preference for lighter power tools.2. Steel base plate shoe, which is heavier than aluminum. Steel is cheaper and more likely to bend if the saw is dropped. An aluminum plate is pricier, but lighter and sturdier, especially if cast in a mold (since they tend to be thicker), instead of being stamped. The DCS565B plate is cast aluminum. A magnesium alloy plate is preferred over the two as it is lighter and more damage-resistant, but it is usually only found on higher-end saws as it is costlier. (Both models have a cast aluminum upper blade guard.)3. Lacks the additional measuring markings of the DCS565B plate shoe.4. Lacks the LED worklight.5. Lacks the rafter hook.6. The bevel adjustment is done with a turn knob instead of a simple lever as on the DCS565B.7. According to Dewalt, the DCS566 is a “18/20V” unit.8. The DCS566 (with dust chute attached, no battery, and with lower blade guard down) dimensions are comparable at 12.5”L x 6.5”W x 9”H. Both fit the Kreg rip guide which has a 2-1/8” space to accommodate lower saw blade guards that are narrower than that. This is handy, especially if you do not have a table saw for some projects. My preference is still the DCS565B, which is the one I ordered when I received the wrong model.
