Get the second coat on while first coat is damp.
Great stuff! Applied to our bare pine ranch table and benches. It goes a long way and the finish is nice, showing the wood grain and color, though slightly milky. You wouldn't know it if I didn't tell you. I light sanded the wood, vacuumed and wiped down with a wet tack cloth. The sealant goes on easily with a brush and a little goes a long way. Didn't use 1/2 gallon to cover a 120" x 40' table and two 108" x 16" benches, top, bottom and legs with two coats! It did require two people to get the second coat down (instructions said to apply second coat when first is damp), as in the Arizona heat, it was drying pretty fast. The ranch table is out on the covered patio and now I can wipe the dust off in minutes. I'm very please with this product.

Very Pleased!
1/2023 - UpdateI didn't remember to post in 2022, but I wanted to add a couple of pictures. I will say that am not sure if the product is going to hold up through six years (horizontal surfaces like the deck) as it's going on 3 years and I feel like I am seeing wearing I didn't expect. However, I am not a professional. I applied it with a brush and, perhaps, I didn't apply it as well as I should have. I am not comfortable blaming the product alone. Some sections seem to be holding up better than others. Currently, the furniture is covered up, but most of it seems to be holding up better than certain areas of the deck. It should be noted that most of the deck is probably close to 30 years old if not older. That may be a factor as well.6/2021 - UpdateI originally posted last November after treating wooden deck furniture. This June, I treated the deck after having it power washed. Still thrilled with the product and the way it's working. I am adding 2 additional pictures. The first is after the deck was power washed and the second is after I treated/painted it with this product. You can even see beaded water on the deck 🙂11/2020I am posting a review of this product along with some pictures. I will plan on updating it each year as the product is said to last approximately 6 on horizontal surfaces and 10 years on vertical surfaces.First, let me say that I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. When the product arrived I found it to be somewhat thin. When I realized it was water based, it made more sense that it wasn't very thick. That being said, I have been very pleased thus far with the results. I did the application with a brush. As you will see in the pictures, it does what it needs to do when it comes to rain. I also wasn't sure what color to get. I picked the bronze cedar and when used on new wood, that is the color you get. It is beautiful! You will see the color is not quite the same (seems a bit darker depending on the light) when used on wood that has already been treated with a previous product (I don't recall what product or color was on the furniture that I re-treated) It doesn't bother me, though, that the color isn't the same. Now for the pictures. The picture of the deck boards that I treated show the true color. I have not yet treated the rest of the deck as I want to make sure to power wash and clean it first and won't be able to do that till spring. When you see the picture of the boards with the water beaded on them and then see the boards around it don't have beaded water, it's because the rest of the deck has not yet been treated. The pictures of the furniture show the "before" of one of the small end tables and the "after." It also shows an "after" of another chair and table set and big picnic table. Mind you, the furniture wasn't in the best of condition. The last time it was treated was several years ago. I am very pleased with the way this product has worked so far. If you do happen to see an area that was missed, it is NOT the fault of the product, but of the person doing the application (me!) I look forward to treating the rest of the deck (and furniture) in the spring with this excellent product!

Good quality marine varnish.
The varnish looks to be very good quality [we will know after a winter or two]. Goes on easily, yet washes out of the paint brush. My only reservation is that it seems to take a long time to cure. Two days after application, and it still seems a little sticky.

The ultimate test-
I purchased this sealer for a landscaping project. Delivered quickly, well packaged and intact. I have multiple 8"x8"x12' northern yellow pine timbers that i stained with dark walnut. They are rough cut and I chose not to sand them.I allowed the stain to fully dry and preformed the entire operation in the garage out of the sun and elements. Two generous coats are important for this sealer. Also it must be above 50°, which lengthened the process due to Ohio's weather mood swings. In the pale, the product is a solid white tint and thin as water. Give her an enthusiastic shake before opening. I applied with a 3" standard brush. No other products used besides minwax stain. Must be clean fresh surface for appropriate adhesion. Sand old finishes off. Goes on white and is easy to see missed spots. Being rough cut timber, it took a little more product to fully saturate. On a smooth sanded surface a little goes quite a long way. I have a photo to show drying stages- fresh coat, about 15mins dry time, and after about 30mins.At 30mins apply your second coat, just as heavy as the first. It's easy to work with. A little messy- don't be shy with it, but it covers great.Drys totally matte, no gloss at all. Looks just like they did with only stain which is just what I wanted.I have a second photo showing our first rain with them on the ground. I waited about a day for sealer to dry before laying them down. The water beads on top which is an excellent sign. I'm hopeful to at least get a few years out of this product before needing refinished. Most important to note ... These beams are laid over gravel and sand with drainage tile underneath, however they still are on the ground, exposed to moisture and in direct sun. This is really the ultimate test for a product like this.If this sealer can survive being exposed all day everyday I don't think there is a project it cant handle.I will update in about a year with photos and hopefully a success story.

Water resistant
Used on a brand new deck. Absorbed very well. Coverage was good. Dried quickly for a second coat. Great water repellent. Clear in color. Has held up for a year. Good value. Soap and water clean up.
