I installed the upgraded VANMASS holder Wednesday, 2/17/2021. Because it was unseasonably cold, cloudy, rainy, and I did not have a heated garage I waited the recommended full 3 days before I mounted the phone. I was impressed with the way the VANMASS upgraded holder adhered to the windshield. The adhesive pad was excellent and the easily accessible suction cup was easy to turn the locking ring into the locking position. The suction cup locking mechanism is clearly marked and the instruction book was excellent. It holds very tightly to the windshield. After installing it I experimented and found that not only would it hold the phone it would very securely hold my iPod Touch and my charging brick. Comes in great if you want to charge up 4 devices at one time. I mounted the holder higher than most would because I am 6'4'. My wife is 5'3" so all she has to do is loosen the nut for securing the head, loosen the knob that allows to phone to move closer or farther away and adjust them to her preference. I am very impressed with the design, functionality, and quality of this VANMASS upgraded unit. It is well made with tough and long lasting materials. The phone holder pads are cushioned, release with the push of a button, and are very strong. The pads at the bottom of the mounting pad are also cushioned and there is ample room or all mini cables to access your charging device. I have a sports car with virtually zero cabin storage space. This will be great in it as well.A few tips on installation. First, follow the included instructions to the letter. Whether you mount it on the windshield or dash you cannot get it too clean. Use alcohol wipes, not soap, to thoroughly clean the mounting area. The instruction has a chart that shows the timeline for the adhesive pad to "cure". They recommend three days but in some cases they allow you to mount it sooner. I fully recommend that you use the 3 day option unless you live where it is in the 70's all day this time of year or have a heated garage. You will not go wrong if you wait 3 days. The adhesive pad can also be dipped in plain clean water and reused if necessary. Give this phone holder a try. You will be pleased and I know the company stands 100% behind their product.

Although is a well-made holder, it didn't hold the weight of my phone to the dash after following the instructions, so I had to use the AC mount piece which works and serves its purpose.

I bought one of for my car for when I need to use the GPS, it works well.

The phone holder comes with 3 mounting options which was great for me. I have a 2015 Corolla and the dash and windshield configuration really limit your mounting places. The windshield location obscured my driving view. Mounting on top of the dash put the phone in a place that obscures the view of the multimedia screen. So, that left the option of mounting to the vent fins. At first, I really didn't like the idea of mounting to the vent fins. I was worried it could break them off if i accidentally bumped the phone. But I gave it a try and discovered that it was super easy to connect to the vents. The mount secures firmly in place and after having it on for quite some time now, It has not broken the vent fin. It does eliminate the ability to adjust the vent fin direction. So, I recently moved it from the center left vent to the center right vent since i mostly drive alone. Overall I'm very happy with this phone holder and would recommend it to others. In fact, my son's girlfriend needed a phone holder and I recommended the same Vanmass holder I bought. She received the updated or latest version, which is even better than mine. We also mounted it to her vent fin and it is positioned perfectly and she loves it.

Still holding up great after 31 months. I have recommended it everyone who rides in my car.
