I bought these for my students after learning about them from the novel The Samurai’s Garden. My students were fascinated with the idea of the dolls so I bought a doll for each student to give to them once we’d finished the unit. They were so surprised and thrilled to have a doll of their own.

Cute little gifts. Didn't know they could come in other colors than red, which is the traditional Japanese Daruma, but the kids appreciated the variety and the "make a wish" symbolism.

The dolls are beautiful, and they rock back up after being knocked down, so exactly what I wanted from my drama doll. Also, it was beautifully packaged. Loved the unpacking just as much as making New Year's resolutions with the doll, and a great New Year gift for friends.

Gave these as a gift and she was extremely happy with them. See them every time I visit
