Perfect for celebrating with your furry friends
I made "pup"cakes for my dogs birthday and I was super impressed with how easy this mix was to make. It even comes with a frosting packet to put on top of the cake/s. I also added a blueberry on the top of each one once I put the frosting on top. The ingredients seemed super clean and something I wouldn't mind giving to my dogs. The cupcakes were nice and soft and the mix made 4 large cupcakes. The dogs devoured them... win!

Pups loved it!
Got next day shipping and it was easy to make and the birthday pup liked it! I used the icing it came with as a base to freeze the cake for the cream cheese frosting I made and it worked well. One box made 2 small 4 inch cakes :) 3 dogs shared the cakes and did not get sick after!

Good Cake/Not Enough Frosting
Fun little birthday cake that cooks up super fast in the microwave. It is quite strong smelling when cooking in the microwave but doesn’t have much smell after. It doesn’t come with near enough frosting (minus one star for that). The tiny frosting pouch it comes with isn’t even enough to cover to the top of the cake, which is a bummer if you wanted a complete kit. I mix up homemade peanut butter frosting to cover the cake since it doesn’t come with sufficient icing. My dog loved the taste and it was a good soft consistency. We kept the leftovers and gave her a slice for dessert over several days and she loved it. It makes a nice size cake for several dogs to split (about 8x4 inches and 2-3” tall).

Woofin' good Birthday party cake!
I just made this cake for our Boxer dog's birthday party today. It was a small family do, just me and my husband, Koa (10 years old on 1/24, a male brindle) and Kye (5 years old on 1/1, he's a fawn). I bought a 7 X 10-inch small silicone dog bone shaped pan and the one box mix fit the pan perfectly. This box is small, it's not the size of a regular cake mix. If you want a large cake or need to make lots of cupcakes for a big canine soiree, then get 2 boxes. It is important to me to have food that eliminates wheat, corn and soy and limited ingredients. The first ingredient in the cake mix is rice flour, then evaporated cane juice, pumpkin, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. The frosting is made from tapioca starchand dehydrated yogurt. I can comfortably live with that. Simple is good. The cake was easy to mix, baked nicely (I had to leave it in the oven a few minutes longer than the recipe instructs but that may just be my oven) and had a nice pumpkin aroma. The frosting is different than regular cake frosting. Probably due to the tapioca base, it has a thicker texture so I added a few drops of water to it and it reminded me of "flooding" frosting. It did set up quickly though. I made whipped cream frosting tinted blue and edged the cake. Candles and their names on the cake and, voila! My first doggy baking experience. I did not actually eat any but I did taste a bit and it was fine but dense. The dogs loved it. I wish I had pictures but I used my iPad and got pics of the dogs but not the cake! Should I go to the trouble of re-creating the event to capture it in picture form???It is worth noting as stated on the box: "A portion of our profits are donated each year to rescue organizations throughout he US." and it is made in the USA. Great to hear it! Just curious: Can I assume ingredients are sourced in the US? And I'd be interested to know which rescue groups are benefiting from these sales and how much is a portion?Bottom line: 5 stars because the dogs ate it. Well, Kye will eat just about anything so of course he inhaled his piece. Our older dog Koa is a picky eater and ate quite a bit of the cake and seemed to enjoy the frosting best. The mix was fast, easy, baked up nicely, has good ingredients and the manufacturer shows to have canine interest at heart, is socially responsible and supports our economy.Next party we will have the peanut butter cake.

Yummy Cake
Bought this cake mix for my goldens first birthday. She absolutely loved it and enjoyed having a sweet treat on her big day. I liked that there’s wasn’t a lot of harmful ingredients, the quality of the cake was good, and I feel like the price was good for what I got. It was super simple to make and took less than 30 mins from start to finish. I loved how the frosting looked like real frosting and how fast is dried onto the cake so that I didn’t make a mess.I would definitely try another flavor from this brand again on her next birthday.
