Castle Kitchen Sugar Free Double Dutch Premium Dark Hot Chocolate Mix with Monkfruit (8 oz) - Vegan, Dairy Free, Plant Based - Keto & Diabetic - Mix with Milk Substitute

I have another post/review about SUGAR FREE HOT CHOCOLATE. It's under the CAFFE D'VITA, I will buy both products again and even though I have done a review for the PREMIER PROTEIN HOT CHOCOLATE I will have to say that I will not buy it again because of availability and the prices keep changing. The CAFFE D'VITA is the better option and cheaper. I enjoy the CASTLE KITCHEN in the MARVELOUS MINT DARK CHOCOLATE, the DOUBLE DUTCH DARK CHOCOLATE and the CLASSIC CARAMEL DARK CHOCOLATE all of these come in both SUGAR FREE (doesn't mess with my blood sugars no matter how many cups I have) and it come in regular sugar. My wife uses the regular with sugar and she says that she even has to lower the amount she uses because of how sweet it is. I hope this will help you but as I have said in my other reviews of these hot chocolate products, a self stirring coffee cup will eliminate floating globs of chocolate from floating in your cup. I’ve purchased this product about three times. I do love the taste also the fact that is sugar free.The picture shows how I received my last order. It was put in a soft package rather than a box. It arrived totally crushed and spilling out. I wasn’t able to return it but did receive a refund. The review stars are for the product but I would give a one star for packing envelope.

The 2nd one I ordered had an expiration date 10 months older than the first one I bought. (Same product). Shipping took over an month to receive & the canister appears to be tampered with. Since it’s a food item, I’m unable to return. I’m pissed especially because it was costly. I want to add that the flavor was great, chocolatey ( first canister, I won’t use the second one. I used unsweetened almond milk also a frother to mix & all clumps blended completely.

I like the low sugar. I really do not notice or detect any caramel flavor with this. I have the plain chocolate version and can taste it in my coffee/collagen mix easily. I like the product but think I will reorder the chocolate one and not the caramel.

The teaspoon pictured is not a measuring tsp. If you have not used this mix, measure it like using a teaspoon for a recipe, metering it until you find the strength acceptable. I did not and added water, sweetener, and coffee creamer. Doubling the drink, which I thoroughly enjoyed. And yes...I read the word "Double" on the front of the container before I ordered the drink mix. I hope this helps.Peace, Be Well, and Do Good!

Love this! It has a deep rich flavor that's not too sweet. I put a tablespoon into my cup and added about two ounces of almond milk in and stirred. Got it into a thick syrup. Then I added an additional 13 or so ounces of almond milk. Nuked until hot and stirred. Result was a rich, wonderful treat. I'm lactose intolerant so I so appreciate that this is dairy free! But when you sip, it's the rich taste of chocolate that shines through, not the sugar. Not gonna lie, there is a very faint aftertaste, I'm guessing it's the stevia, but I drink diet Coke so I'm used to that. Love this mix!

I was so excited to get a hot cocoa made with Monk Fruit. You really don't need much else. Allulose has no aftertaste yet companies still use nasty tasting Stevia.Also, about a half hour after this morning hot cocoa, I got extremely nauseated, I felt very high. I know there are natural levels of caffeine in chocolate but there should have been a warning label on this. I was so nauseous I couldn't stand up; and it gave me diarrhea too. Embarrassing, but it's important to know what your edible product can do to people. This isn't labeled as ceremonial cacao. I shouldn't feel like I just did an 8 ball of cocaine. I have ceremonial cacao for when I rarely need to use a small bit of it. I was so sick, dizzy, and had anxiety, heart palpitations, & gastro issues I had to stay in bed all day and lost a days worth of work during Xmas season. I do not recommend unless you want to stay up for two days and have that Stevia aftertaste. The caffeine & anxiety producing stimulative effects are so extreme they should absolutely be on the label. 2 stars for using Monk fruit and quality organic ingredients. Monk fruit hot cocoa should be more of a thing but maybe traditional milk chocolate powder. Please chuck the Stevia!

If you are watching your calorie intake or cannot have a lot of sugar, this is a perfect treat for a chocolate craving. The flavor is rich and the monk fruit after taste is barely there. I am used to sugar free drinks so the taste does not bother me. Easy to mix in 150 degree milk. I used almond milk, a splash of half and half, and some tiny marshmallows. Great drink for a cold night! I will purchase again.
