Best ortho shoe ever!
I’ve been in the medical field for over 30 years. I’m very familiar with orthopedic shoes. This is the best that I’ve come across, It’s shaped perfectly for walking and it’s wide, so it keeps all of your toes protected. I ordered this for My brother who is an uncontrolled, Noncompliant diabetic with severe toe And foot, cellulitis w/ulcers. This Shoe Has been a godsend! My brother resists everything, and he actually loves this shoe, how comfortable, lightweight, and easy to put on & off. It’s super easy to clean too!! Because of the wide toe Design all of his severely affected toes are protected and allowed to breathe and healing has actually significantly improved. I recommend this orthopedic shoe to anybody who wants something comfortable truly designed for walking and will promote the greatest protection for healing.!!

Lifesaver when a new big toe issue happened just days before a trip
I had a big toe injury several months ago and had to have the nail removed. I bought this shoe shortly after when the shoe the hospital sent me home with was horrible. At the time this was a godsend - and helped about a month later when I had to travel for work.Fast forward 8 months later, when a podiatrist had to do a "minor" procedure as a result of the previous injury (and I had severe pain in my big toe) just 2 days before I was to board a flight for a long weekend in Vegas. (You can't go to Vegas without walking or being in a wheelchair - which was not an option!)This shoe was so comfortable. While I might not have been my normal self with my normal stride, this shoe fit was light and kept my toe safe (and all my toes aligned). The shoe had a great grip, was not slippery, and really felt like a shoe. I bought an extra one in case I needed it, but the Velcro really held up to the almost 8 miles a day I did!

No more pain, & really comfy.
This shoe keeps my foot from bending, so I feel no pain from the fracture at the base of my big toe (pain on top side of foot, above ball of foot). The slight rocker motion on the bottom allows me to walk in a very natural way. I can’t believe how comfortable it is!Re-review: I ordered this shoe Aug 4th, and on Sept 5th it cracked on the bottom along the ball of the foot, so now it completely bends when I walk. It is just beyond the day I can return it. One month may have been just long enough to do the trick, though.

Supportive and Well-Made Recovery Shoe
Excellent firm support. I wore this during healing of my stress fracture, when I wanted to switch off from the boot. Very sturdy and supportive--much better than the one that my podiatrist sells. Highly recommend.

Able to walk
This shoe boot has enabled me to walk around my house and still allow my toe to heal. It is so much more manageable than a tall boot. Very helpful item.

Edited from 4⭐️ down to 1⭐️, Very disappointed!!!
EDIT: I changed my rating from 4 stars down to 1 star!! My original review was after using the shoe for about a week, now 2 weeks later and the shoe has begun to crack!!! I've added a photo of the cracking. I have found that this shoe is very uncomfortable and my foot hurts after using it. I kept the she from the ER to use inside the house, and that shoe doesn't give me the pain or discomfort that this one does. I only have 2 weeks left and I really didn't want to buy an ADDITIONAL shoe!!I fractured my 5th metatarsal 8 weeks ago, luckily no cast but I wore a hard soled "boot/shoe". After 6 weeks my doctor told me to begin walking again but continuing to wear the hard shoe all the time. The shoe I was given from the ER has a very flat bottom, making it difficult to return to a normal gait. I bought this because I wanted a hard sole shoe that allowed me to achieve a more normal gait, and I didn't like wearing the same shoe inside & outside (it tracks in a lot of debris/dirt).Pros: I really appreciate the curved bottom of this shoe, it is much easier to walk in than the flat version. The sizing chart was accurate, but I checked the reviews for guidance. I wear a women's 9, ordered a women's large. It fits just like the shoe I was given in the ER, with over an inch of spare room beyond my big toe for protection. The velcro straps are easy to use and trim to size. The shoe feels like it grips the ground properly without being slippery.Cons: I would give 4.5 ⭐️ because I do have a few minor complaints, but these would not prevent me from purchasing. The back of the heel has very little cushion compared to my flat ER shoe, so I added a small/thin piece of foam backed fabric (📸). This has helped and was an easy fix.The sole of the shoe tends to pick up A LOT of small pebbles that I either have to pluck out or drag my foot along the sidewalk to remove. The portion of fabric that covers the mid foot/toe region is a little too long. When pulling the straps tighter, it bunches against the plastic velcro loops. This hasn't caused any discomfort, just visually annoying.Overall this is an excellent alternative to the standard "walking boot/shoe" given by the ER, at a reasonable price!! I am able to walk more comfortably and getting my foot back to normal function is much easier in this shoe.

Lasted about 1.5 months with moderate use
Measured twice and the size they recommended fit perfectly for the length of my foot. I'm a 8.5 in shoes and have about an inch of space at the toes. It is more comfortable than my other sandal, which I had gotten at the doctor. Easy to wear - didnt drive me crazy to have it on - but as the title says, I have now had it about a month and a half and the bottom has now split completely at the ball of my foot, making it pretty much unusable. The sides had cracked after the first day but the other two splits are still holding firm.

easy to fit while foot healing
I kept this shoe because it worked well for my post op foot break. I expected to pay $29.99. However I returned another pair for $19.99 which would not tighten and fit my foot. I am confused about the refund and since it has been a couple months, I do not have the return records.
