THE 90'S MASTERPIECE
Love the book , a phenomenal masterpiece written by Chuck Palahniuk , it's satirical , mind numbing and crisp... can't believe he wrote this masterpiece on just a normal afternoon in his office.

One of the best books I've ever read.Chuck's writing is unorthodox and refreshing. I suggest you read the book even if you had seen the movie. For 350 odd bucks, quality of the book is just terrible. Looks like it was printed using recycled paper and that too a bad one.Since I loved the book, I'm giving it 4 stars. On a side note, I must say David Fincher did a hell of a job making it into a movie. Having watched the movie number of times, I can say the movie captured the essence of the book and Norton, Brad & Bonham Carter did complete justice to their roles.

***** **** : A Modern Literature.
Well, I watched the movie first, so I was already aware of the story.I would rate this book 8.5/10.The story is attention catching.Well written. Gives the vibes of dark anarchy.Random Profanity and sexual stuff is there in the story. However I didn't feel connected to the story, probably because I'm used to more classic literature. But still it's a good book of you need something interesting to read.

Simple, strong and ...(read the book n get me the third adjective xP)
Doesn't matter if you have or haven't watched the movie ! Give this a read, it's fun (few of his mindesets are not reflected in the movie though). The style is damn simple. In case you are Dickensian you will hate this for it's simplicity or in his words, "I write in verbs. I don't use adjectives". Yet there's a good chance that you too will like this work for the absurdity it speaks about. (It's out of place still I couldn't skip mentioning Rick and Morty when it comes to obfuscation life and possession (of materials and thoughts) as that best of my time series ever)Back o the book, it's a quick read of tale of desperate common American, told in a dramatic fasion ! Give it a read for the later part. It's a thumbs up from me.

One of the greatest books of the new age!
I had almost lost my habit of reading for a few years. Until I found Fight Club. The first rule of Fight Club is you don’t talk about Fight Club. But realistically speaking, it is so good that you just can't not talk about it. Be it Fight Club: the book, Fight Club: the movie or Fight Club: the concept. Fight Club was a phenomenon, generating a cult following for Palahniuk all over the world. It is Palahniuk's debut work, and established him as one of the most visionary satirists of this generation.Fight Club is an attempt at throwing light on how the world runs, or more like how the underbelly of the white collar world runs. It is an underground, illegal group that meets in the basements of bars across the country where white collar, lowlife failures meet to fight until they have to. Only to show up the next day at work with a black eye, a swollen lip and lacerations where the sun doesn’t shine. Once a guy has taken a fight, he feels alive. A good fight makes one believe that he can take on anything.

Very, very well written, raises key issues of our time
Crisp writing and brilliantly narrated. Loved it. At places, raises important issues facing an increasingly materialistic society. 'The things you own, end up owning you.' But mostly, it is the powerful narrative and a unique plot that make it a must read.
