Bought as a gag gift but we LOVE it!
I don’t know why this has any bad reviews honestly. We’ve had this for several months and love it. This seems stupid, but it actually works really well. The motion sensor comes on as you walk towards the bathroom and there’s a soft glow so you can see whether your husband left the seat up or if any critters decided to take a stroll on your toilet seat before you plop down. It’s so nice to not have to turn the light on and completely wake yourself up.If it’s not coming on or coming on too frequently, simply adjust the position on the toilet. I suggest closing the seat while you adjust it so you don’t accidentally place it under that little bump on the bottom of the toilet seat and snap it when you sit down. It also doesn’t interfere with cleaning at all since you can slide it back-and-forth, just make sure you reposition it where you had it

Crapped out after one year
We liked these a lot… while they lasted (about a year). I’m so sick of buying cheap 5hit that craps out quickly!

We love it
Weird little gadget I got for my husband as a joke so he wouldn’t miss the bowl in the middle of the night. It has ended up being something everyone in the household likes. With the motion detector, it automatically turns on as you walk into the bathroom and there’s enough glow that you don’t have to turn on the light and you can see where you need to go. This is actually the second time we’ve purchased it. The first one lasted a couple years before it stopped working.

Not returnable
I bought a few of these. Work great for about a year. I ordered a replacement. I set the color I wanted by pressing the button as per the directions (bright white). Worked great for two days then light started with red and started rotating colors. This keeps happening repeatedly. I spoke with Amazon and this item can not be returned because it has been used in my toilet. This is understandable. I was unable to contact seller. Amazon refunded me. Thank youTo be fair I have ordered several of these with no problems. Nice product I must have just got a bad one. Hopefully this seller can correct their add. NOT RETURNABLE as this was installed in a toilet. Health hazard
