Skechers Women's Ice Angel Slipper

**UPDATE** I ordered these in 2021, and it's now 2024 and I still have this same pair. I start wearing them again in the mid-fall through to mid-spring, and they're still going! Just as comfy as ever, the outer line of fur has some mild wear and tear, and the grey cabling isn't as crisp as it was the day they came, but I'm still very happy with these and don't see them wearing out any time soon. Great product!I was wanting a pair of house shoes/slippers because our floors are very cold and hard. Wearing just socks around the house wasn't enough. This brand and shoe style was recommended in an article, and the price was a good fit for me. Well holy comfort, Batman! These slippers have far exceeded my expectation. First, the sole is quite thick for a slipper, so my feet are well supported. I don't have high arches, but do often get plantar fasciitis, which tends to flare up as I change shoes with the seasons. I haven't had any flare ups with that. The slippers also haven't needed to be broken in at all. I have wide feet, and usually wear a size 8 in most shoes (size 9 in some), and the 8W fits me perfectly. The toe box is also wide as well, so my toes are easily able to spread out comfortably. Most shoes, even wide's, pinch my little toes, and these don't do that. In terms of warmth, which was why I originally was looking for in a pair, they're wonderful! I've found that when I don't wear socks, my feet tend to sweat a bit more because of the fur lining. Not a ton, but enough to be gross. So I wear socks with these slippers, but despite that, my feet never overheat. I've had one day where my feet were overheating, but it was a day I wasn't wearing socks in the slippers. My feet are comfortable, warm, supported, and I've also noticed less knee and lower back pain from standing on our hard floors. So that's a perk I wasn't even expecting! In terms of the look, yes, they're absolutely cute with the dark grey cable knit fabric and the dark fur. I've walked outside in these to throw away the garbage and check the mail, and I don't feel embarrassed about wearing these at all- they're quite neutral. When these eventually wear out, whenever that may be, you can absolutely bet that I'll be buying these again.

I probably ordered the wrong size because I'm used to this type of shoes not fitting properly. I wear a 6.5W but ordered a 7W because most of the slippers I've purchased in the past have not been sized so precisely and if I order the correct size then my toes get squeezed. I have to say that I'm impressed that the width of these slippers is perfect. The shoe is a tad long for my foot so I believe the 6.5W would have been the perfect fit. I don't plan to exchange them because it's not that big of a deal, but in the future, I will trust that their sizing is spot on.Another thing that surprised me was the fact that the memory foam in the bottom part of the shoe was not real cushy. Generally, this type of shoe has memory foam that you sink into making it feel like you are walking on a cloud when they are new but later compacts making them less cushy. These shoes did not feel that way. Instead, the bottoms felt solid. I was amazed when after a few days of wear that I felt the shoe was beginning to conform to the shape of my foot and was giving me more of that cushy feel. This is the complete opposite of what I was used to. I really think I like that about these shoes.The shoes themselves seem very durable. They will most likely last a lot longer than other brands I've tried before. They are perfect for taking my dog out to do her duty on these cold winter days. They keep my feet very warm and I'm not afraid to walk out into the yard to clean up her mess as long as there's no snow on the ground. Fortunately, that's not a major issue where I live.I would recommend these to anyone looking for a warm, comfortable slipper that can be worn outdoors.

I was a little apprehensive about spending so much money on slippers, but I'm so glad I did! These are such great quality and so comfortable. I love the look and they are true to size. Love them!
