Aqara stands by their products.
I bought the M2 hub about a month ago opened it 2 weeks later because I was moving. Setup was a breeze, then the next day it was offline line no problem saw there was a firmware update did it worked for about 2 days now it stays offline will not reboot by hold the button. Even when unplugged and waiting to reconnect it boots back to offline. Customer service? Ha put in a ticket received a response the next day asking for information. Sent it didn't hear back from them again until 4 days later after I put in another ticket and then they asked to connect to the hub all I have to do is go into the hub messages and give approval. Problem there's no message. So I'm still stuck with a non functional hub.Edit 10/30.Barry was very helpful in troubleshooting the problem I was having. He went through every possible solution to get it back up and running before it was ruled dead. Aqara sent out a replacement and it works as intended. Which is good because I really like they're products. Finished setting up my door and motion sensors. Leak detectors and plugs. I'll be added their present sensor soon.

Works Well With HomeKit-Aware Devices - IR Blaster A Bonus
This hub makes a solid connection to my 2.4 gHz WiFi network and provides good coverage. Most (and so far for me, all) Aqara smart items bridged through it can be addressed in HomeAssistant through the HomeKit integration. No need to bother with Matter - unless you want to. The IR blaster, however, only functions with the phone app and does not expose paired items with HomeAssistant - and that it's only minus in my opinion. However, as I view the IR blaster as a nice bonus, and not core to the product I didn't dock the item a star in my rating. However, if the IR blaster were to be exposed - now, that would be something special!Devices are easy to set up and this hub performs a good as advertised. It's price point makes it a good choice for any home wanting to add good Zigbee coverage for the Aqara ecosystem. Nice. Also, note that I run this hub alongside another Zigbee coordinator (a USB stick) and both networks function without issue even though my 2.4 gHz spectrum is pretty saturated with competing networks. Again, nice!

Pairing issues, no problem
Works great and easy to set up, only issue is that it should already come up to date with the latest version out of the box. I was trying to connect the Aqara TM1 ceiling light but due to it being old versions, the pairing wasn’t possible. To make your life easier, just update it when you set it up :)

Works great with Home Assistant and Smart Locks
Does exactly what I bought it to to do and almost 8 months later, still no issues. I bought one of the Aqara door locks and wanted to be able to manage it in and via my Home Assistant setup, and this is allowing and providing for that with ease. Honestly once it's setup and working you don't even have to think about it.

Bought for Siri voice command TV IR Control
I bought this product for one reason, the 360 degree IR blaster and HomeKit connectivity so that I can add Siri commands and use my HomePod to control my LG tv. This is all I tested so I cannot review it’s connectivity to other devices, but for this… IT’S PERFECT!Admittedly, the setup is a bit weird (did not know it would speak to me lol 😂 ) and very clunky, so don’t get frustrated, but if you spend the time, it is worth it. Here is what I did:———————————————I’ll assume you have the device connected to your network and setup, and are in the Aqara App.Add your device. First you want to add your device(s). I.e. my LG TvDon’t worry about Automation. For this you won’t go here, I assume you can setup other devices you connect automations here. For this, You want “Scenes”So this is where the setup is weird and clunky. You need to manually add each action you want (Tv volume up etc.). Yea, this is tedious but necessary.Basically what we are doing is creating a HomeKit scene for each action that will sink to your Home App. This sounds weird but works surprisingly well.Click Add Scene. You will see your TV, then remote, then alllll your remote options. Pick the first one you want. When naming each action, give it a device name then the action. I named my TV “El G”, so my scenes were named “El G Volume Up” “El G On” etc. Yes you have to do every action you want.**do not name it just “Volume Up” as Siri will just turn the HomePod up, thus the TV Name first.Once you have all the TV controls you want set up as scenes, click Edit at the bottom and you will see the option to sync with the MyHome app.Done! You will see all the crazy amount of scenes you just created synced in your MyHome App.Now when you say “Siri El G Volume Up”Boom, tv turns up!!TIPs*you can add delays and additional actions in each scene. I added a second volume up so the scene would turn my tv up 2 notches instead of just 1.**my tv controls my soundbar so I did not need to add that as a device. You may need to if you control your speakers separately***you will see a Siri circle on the right in the Aqara app, if you select that you can record your own Siri command!Cheers.

Hard to Connect, Especially After Having to Re-connect
First, I have that this is what I'm opening with, but ht fact that it uses Micro USB to charge dates the product in my mind. But, for some odd reason, it randomly disconnected... and I have not been able to get it to reconnect, be it via the Aqara app, the HomeKit app, etc.And all I really need it for is a door lock, but that still works without it.So, I'm returning it unless I decide to buy more Aqara products... I will say, the door lock is solid!! 100% recommend, and it operates as a standalone HomeKit compatible device. (Only stating this because I think most of their products would be good, I, personally, was just not happy with this one.)So, at least at the moment for my situation, this isn't necessary.
