How can it be tidy to have a usb cable coming down they windshield? Does it run on batteries also?

The cable is long enough that you would route it along the top of the windscreen and down the door pillar (on passenger side is better than drivers side, just in case the cable comes out from the roof lining). It is usually quite easy to push the cable between the windscreen and the roof lining. If you pull the rubber door seal away down the door pillar then it is also usually fairly easy to get the cable under the door pillar trim before pushing the rubber seal back on.

The camera comes with a magnetic Disc that you stick to the windscreen, (disk has an adhesive pad on it). The mount then sticks magnetically to the disk on the windscreen.

What’s the largest size memory card you can use?

I'm successfully using a 256GB SanDisk Ultra. Not sure if a 512GB would be OK? Hope that helps.
