Positive Results!
Should have thought of getting this sooner for my favorite four-legged guy! Poor guy's tummy sensitivities and frequent diarrhea spells have made him unbelievably picky. It's been a tough road nourishing him because I'll find food he likes only for him to eventually tire of it. Then I have to perform song and dance or hide-and-seek-kibble for him to maybe eat a small handful every 4-5 days (and just enough to keep him alive) until one of us finds something else he likes but doesn't give him tummy aches or make him depressed about eating even though we know he's starving. I never knew dogs could be so hard to feed. I used to think all dogs ate all and everything!I bought this probiotic not expecting much but the change in him was very noticeable. His stools were runny until about three dosages/meals/poops later, when his poop started looking glorious (I won't go into detail so just know that it was really nice-looking poop). Anyway, my shepherd's behavior and personality have been rejuvenated. He's eating more regularly and his appetite is much more consistent. His incredibly toxic farts have drastically improved; i.e. they've become non-existent, thanks be to Heaven! He even scampers like a young puppy when he runs and plays! I don't know if this result will happen for every dog (though I hope so) but I'm completely sold. (I ingest plenty of probiotic yogurt but have been inspired to buy probiotic pills for myself!) Lastly, I was surprised my picky dog ate these tablets straight up. No pill pockets were required; I offered it to him as if it was a special training treat. Then again, he was probably starving. He's gone through the entire bottle so I got the exact same brand but non-chewable this time. It takes a lot less tablets required for his weight and it's cheaper too. Will try sprinkling over his food and see what happens.-UPDATE-Love the capsuled version. Lasts longer because less is required for bigger dogs. I just open the capsules and sprinkle into his cold or room-temperature food. (Heated or warm food seems to kill the potency.) Same great results! Also my new little rescue has also responded favorably to VetriScience probiotics. She's never had pooping or gas issues but her scratching has noticeably subsided. Thumbs up.

Helped our dog's digestive issues...!
This product is amazing. One of our dogs and skin issues (staph and flea dermatitis- poor little guy!) and had to put on antibiotics a number of times. I gave him extra probiotics (not this probiotic) to counter the effect on the good bacteria but after awhile they did not seem to work as well. He kept having soft, unformed poops and his anal glands were getting impacted as a result. His fur was getting dry and limp looking despite being groomed. Gave him plain yogurt, pumpkin purée and no changes. I was at my wits end. Then I did some research on Amazon and found this product. I changed his kibble diet to boiled white rice and chicken to give his tummy a rest in the past, and it did not help too much. This time, with the rice and chicken diet, I gave him 3 tabs of the Vetri- Probiotic per day- one before the am and pm meals and the last one around 9-10pm because I have read that a good amount of healing occurs during sleep. It took about a week and I was concerned that it wasn't working but lo and behold, today his poop was moist and FIRM today!!(I never thought I'd see the day when I would get excited about dog poo- I need to get out more often... ;-)).Our 10 yo pup feels better and doesn't scoot his backside on the floor anymore. Note: I did add a teaspoon of coconut oil per meal last week and a few days ago, added a teaspoon of coconut flour to his meals as I read that the good bacteria thrive and feed on fiber. Coconut flour is high in fiber and pretty low in carbs (bad bacteria feed on sugars and carbs). The Vetri-probiotics helped to heal and soothe his gut (think it was the glutamine and herbs in this product) and the coconut fiber helped the good bacteria.Anyway, we, and our pup, are very happy, thanks to Vetri-probiotics and Amazon.

Love It!
My 11 yr. old Minature Schnauzer went blind 6 months ago and was diagnosed with both SARDS and Cushings. He frequently had large piles of loose bowel movements and often times diarrhea as a result. His stomach was very bloated and he was uncomfortable laying down which resulted in restlessness all night long. About 3 months ago we began giving him this product daily. His bowels movements have drastically improved and are almost like they were before he got sick. No more diarreha and 98% of the time his bowel movements are normal in consistency and size. This alone is miraculous for a dog on medication who has been diagnosed with both Cushings and SARDS. The frequency has also greatly decreased to after every meal - which was normal for him. No more accidents, if we are not at home he will hold like he used to do prior to his illness. Also, no more getting up in the middle of the night to potty! The bloating of his stomach has also greatly reduced. He can now lay in any position and sleep throughout the night. We absolutely love this product and will continue to use it!!!

Not a good choice for my dog
I have used Vetri Science probiotics for a long time and they have worked well for my dog. When I went to reorder this time they were out of them so I purchased this chewable version. My dog wouldn't have anything to do with them so I was having to break them up in her food or get her to swallow them whole (not an easy task with a large dog. She started having diarrhea within 1 day of taking these and has had very soft stools and diarrhea since that time - not the healthy stools from before. My vet asked if her food had changed and I explained that I had switched the type of probiotic since the others were not available at the time. A couple of days after I quit giving these to her the stools are back to normal. There is nothing appetizing about the chewable version - doesn't even smell like something my dog would chew up. Wasted my money on this version and have found the other probiotic available again so I have switched back.
