Best purchase in a long time !
100% worth the money. Used this to repair my garbage can and it worked like a champ. Heats up instantly with the trigger and works better than I imagined. Easy to use. It’s fast! Feels well built but I wish the extra tips had a better way to lock on.

Yes, this is the welder you need
First off, I love that it comes with a carrying case and a form-fitting box for easy storage, otherwise I’d have parts everywhere. I like yellow color to distinguish from other tools. 100W is more than enough; staple gets red hot in <5 secs. Also cools just as quickly - big plus when storing away. The tiny tool-tip holes are slightly less wide than the metal staples so they stay in place even upside down. Worked flawlessly on my first application - broken swivel on headphones (son sat on them, 1st pic). 4 staples later and it’s solidly repaired, no wiggle after the 2nd staple (see photos). My only beef are the wire-cutting snips (aka “dikes”, for diagonal cutters) ) which are not flush to the bottom, so I used my pair (red, in photo). Since I’m buying the plastic stapler not the accessories, per se, I still give it 5-stars. You can get a flush-cut pair of dikes here: https://www.amazon.com/IGAN-P6-Precision-Clippers-Spring-loaded-Handmade/dp/B087P191LP/Tips for usage: (i) Welding goes quick, so mount the piece to be repaired leaving one free hand for welding. (ii) Have ventilation (fan) over the work area, as the plastic sends up an acrid smoke. (iii) After inserting, hold the work for 5-8 seconds while it cools. (iv) Seemed that the flat hot cleanup blade was a bit more risky; though I used it, I got better overall results with my Dremel as it grinds off sharp metal edges as well as smooths the plastic.Overall a most valuable addition - shout-out to Chickacanic on YouTube for her suggestion. This has the best features all-around.

Great plastic welder... just give it time to cool off in between jobs.
Great plastic welder! I have a butane torch version for small jobs but needed a plug-in version for a project for my wife's garden. This product heats up quickly and by using one of the three included tips, I was able to weld HDPE plastic easily. The light at the end of the welder tells you that it's still working and when it no longer lights up, the welder needs to cool down. The job we needed done required three buckets to be cut and plastic netting to be welded so it did stop working after about 30 minutes. Contrary to what others were saying about this product, I just let it cool down for an hour and continued working and was able to complete the job.Give it time to cool off and you will find this plastic welder works really well!! Highly recommend this product.

Nice set
I purchased this to fix my car door. The plastic where the screw goes to hold the door plane on had broken so much it didn’t hold any more. I check the book and seemed easy to use and book explain the different pieces. Once I found some plastic to replace the parts that was missing and cut screen to size I went to work. I have to say my plastic I chose was thicker but that is all I could find. I took the different clips supplies to tack the two pieces in place and for reinforcement. I use the flat tip to press screen into plastic in places to tack. I had two lager pieces to apply the screen but it worked. I will say that if the light on the gun don’t work it is too hot and seems to have over heat feature. Once I let the gun cool off it work fine again. It help me fix my door so I don’t have to go fine a new panel . It was easy to use. Feature I like is when using the clips that go in the end of the gun, you put clip in, heat it up and once you pull gun off to put another clip in it doesn’t burn your fingers. I would say if I was going to do another big piece like the last two I might look at getting one of the big square heat irons. I am glad I got this tool and can see other items I can repair. The kit comes with a lot of accessories for a wide range of fixes. The case is nice to keep everything together. I do wish it came with more screen pieces, I can see where screen for me might be used more. I tried the clips only on my project but added the screen for reinforcement. From using this gun if plastic you are repairing is big gap or has push and pull on it screen would need to be used, clips alone won’t hold up. You can’t go wrong with this set.

Works well when used properly
There are a lot of variable involved in getting good results with this - material type, thickness, finishes - as well as skill in working with it. Some practice is definitely recommended before you work on something you don't want to make worse. Once you get a feel for it though, and use it for reasonable applications, it works quite well. Make sure you really blend the plastic deeply when joining or repairing material - don't just get the surface.Build quality is good and it heats up very quickly. The container it comes in easily stores everything in a compact kit. If you need to work with plastic, this is a good value.Be sure to use it in a space with good ventilation and wear a respirator of some kind.

This things work slick. Don't let your friends know you bought one. They'll want to use it.
I bought this some time ago to repair the plastic fender on my UTV. It worked very well and it's easy to use. I comes with a storage case with room to store additional supplies.
