Excellent juice extractor
Nice ‘n heavy @ around 60 lbs. Quite sturdy and does what it claims it can do. Packed well in 2 boxes, so no damage in transit. Easy set up, follow the directions before using it for the first time, such as using a spray bottle of water to clean the interior rollers. I did this step twice or until the water came out clean & clear. Does a great job extracting all the juice from my sugar cane. I split the stalks in half lengthwise and little strength is needed to operate machine. Follow the directions on the provided sheet and you’re good to go. The juice is sweeter than expected!

Works great!
We use this press for sorghum stalks and it works great. It's manually operated, so you're definitely tired after doing a couple hundred stalks, but it works great and it's affordable. It's heavy and solidly built. We dropped ours about three feet onto asphalt, and the handle broke. When I contacted the seller to see if I could buy a replacement handle, they sent me a new one for FREE, and it arrived in two days. You can buy similar looking machines from several sellers - I'd highly recommend getting it from SmarketBuy! Awesome customer service!

Does the job for a hobbyist
TL;DR - pretty good, would recommend for the cane-growing hobbyist if the price doesn't go up.It's heavy and the rollers seem sturdy so far. It easily handled the stalks of cane I fed it. Assembly was easy and self-explanatory. It has bolt holes on the base for bolting it down on a workbench, but if you're just hand cranking, it's heavy enough to just sit on a table. The good- sturdy where it counts. The bad- the sheet metal covering seems flimsy, but maybe that doesn't matter since its function is to simply cover the rollers. The yet to be determined- will it last several seasons? There are no real maintenance/cleaning instructions. There is a vague, awkwardly translated sheet included, but it says something to the effect of "clean and oil where needed," which I will figure out myself.

Easy to use and worth it
We’ve used this on corn to make corn syrup and sorghum. Great thing to have. Easy to turn but a lot of turning over time. But worth it so far

It works, but design and details are sloppy.
We wanted to make our own sorghum molasses, and this crusher was advertised on a video we liked, so my husband bought it for me as a birthday gift. If we had used it immediately, I likely would have returned it.The good:It is very heavy with parts made from cast iron. The crushing function works beautifully. The Bad:There is no practical way to lift this heavy item. The metal parts surrounding the cast iron parts are flimsy and very sharp. This was a gift to me, and I cannot even move it. My husband struggled to find a way to lift it without cutting himself or destroying the flimsy metal parts. There was a scratch on one part (see pic), a small dent in the flimsy metal, and the sticker showing the direction to turn the crank is not even straight--sloppy. It's just a sticker, but it defines the function and gives direction. It's hanging over one edge about 3/16".The spout, when screwed on, does not point down. When I went back to the video where we originally saw this crusher, his was crooked, too. Must be another design flaw.Overall, this item could use a lot more engineering, especially for the price!

Sorghum does fine when motorized. Durability? Time and many more stalks will tell. Sharp edges.
The media could not be loaded. Safety: jamming 2nd pass gets fingers close to rollers. VERY SHARP EDGES on covers. You will need to dress these and round sharp corners before dismantling for cleaning. Stout little machine!Have run about 100 sorghum canes through it. Motorized, got 35% juice recovery with 1 pass and 46% with 2. Fed no more than 3 stalks at a time, got about 4.7 gallons per hour with 1 pass and sorry 35% efficiency. 2 passes got about 3.4 gallons per hour. May not have had it tight enough. Changed to 48" V-belt after this video. Stalks moved 3' in 16 seconds. Machine not observed to strain at this rate.Sugar cane was about 55%, 62% and 67% for 1, 2 and 3 passes BY HAND. Slower usually better recovery. Bring a couple of friends if you want to process 110 lb per hour!Sept 2025: Changed collection system to stop plugging. Problem almost all when doing a second run. Ran > 500 stalks. Feeding 3 stalks, get about 6 gallons an hour but only getting low to mid 30% efficiciency. Trying to tighten rollers but will be next year before I know if that worked.
