BambooWorx- Multi-Color Bamboo Cooking Utensils Set- 6 Pieces, Wooden Spoons & Spatulas, Kitchen Utensils, 100% Natural Bamboo.

I purchased this as my Mother-in-Law's Holiday present to me. I have gotten into a cooking kick, and needed to fill out my utensil stash. This product looked to have a robust variety of items that would be very useful in my endeavors. Since the holiday, I made a holiday spiced jam (Cranberries, pears, orange juice/zest, spices), hickory syrup, hickory candy, as well as various grains and pasta. My review is based on my experiences making these items.Pros:-GREAT assortment of utensils that come in an expansive holder. I was able to put my silicone spatula in the holder as well, and it still has room for other items. I have used most all of the utensils, and they work very well. My absolute favorite was the (sorry, I'm not good with proper names here) the sloped spatula with the round hole in the middle. Helped me get in the edge of the pot and stir without disturbing the jam too much! Excellent addition!-Bamboo without a coating that will chip or flake off into your food.-Pretty heat resistant, so can be left in the pot while cooking.-Much more versatility than one basic wooden spoon, giving me much more freedom in the kitchen-Helped me make perfect hickory candy (very much like maple candy), and, from what I understand, is pretty hard to do! I used the slotted spoon to quickly stir the mixture to cause crystallization. Got a really smooth candy from it!Cons:-There are a few splinters that haven't been removed, but I used fine grit sandpaper and a few minutes time, and they're perfect!Thank you so much, Bambooworx, for making an excellent quality product! So far I like this set. They look nice sitting on the counter and they appear to be good quality. I have already used several of them and they work great.Some reviewers have mentioned splintering and I did have second thoughts because of these reviews. I only gave 4 stars because I did notice this on some of the utensils as well. That being said, this is the case with most that I have seen and it is definitely not a big deal for me. It's not like there are huge chunks of wood breaking off in my food..the fibers are so small they are barely noticeable. If it is a big deal to you, they can easily be scraped or lightly sanded off.I would recommend this set and would not hesitate because of the few negative reviews.

I’ve used wooden utensils for awhile and I like these because they are made out of bamboo. They are sturdy and smooth to handle. They are large enough for cooking anything and small enough for my small hands. The one thing I wished for was a larger container.

These utensils are nice, but not having had bamboo before, seem to have bumps on the out side of the spoon type utensils, perhaps this is regular for bamboo. Also Utensil holder seems to have a slight curve to the bottom so that it doesn't quite sit sturdy on my counter.

I had to scrape a (bamboo leaf?) that was embedded into one of the sporks webbing some of the tines together with a razor blade, then remove the large slivers of wood from these poorly/partially finished utensils. I was going to try to make use of them anyway as I got them for half price, and I thought it was not worth the hassle of exchange at that rate. I have changed my mind as I pulled the fourth sliver out of my thumb. There was one other strange thing, they came with the instructions not to expose to extreme heat. I find that odd utensils used to stir cooking food among other things. I imagine at that rate I could not have expected them to last for long anyway. Perhaps these were a decorative item??? I can see why they were half price now. They must have been trying to get rid of them.

I was happy to find these spoons for a great price as I needed something lightweight for our fifth wheel. I have a set of bamboo spoons that I use all the time at home and I love them. These spoons unfortunately do not compare at all. When they arrived I had to "clean them up" and file down all the splinters that stuck up from where each utensil was cut out. The clear coating seems to have been very carelessly applied and is thicker in some places than others. The edge of the turner is uneven so there is not the constant, even contact you would want in a turner. It was nice that the set included a countertop container for them though. Next time I purchase bamboo utensils I will go up in my price point so that I receive a higher quality product.

I am so happy with these Bamboo Cooking Utensils. They are durable and look amazing. I've used everyone already and have not one complaint .Very easy to clean, and love the cup to hold them on my counter. I've already had compliments to how they look and how well made they are.I love using Bamboo and not metal. It's something I learned many years ago, they don't scratch my pans, they hardly ever stain, (with proper care) and the just plain look fantastic. I will buy from BambooWorx again. They cared enough to email me when my order was shipped and if I needed any thing about the product to be sure to let them know. These are something I will have for years to come.

I, as a lot of other buyers wasn't sure which brand to buy and was in particular concerned about quality. But I decided to give this one a try, especially because I've had a good experience in the past with BambooWorx products. And sure enough I was very happy to see what I got.I decided to do an 'unboxing' video for anyone who is interested.The only thing that bothered me a bit was that the box had a small dent in it, but that is a shipping and handling problem and doesn't affect the product itself.
