Used these to fix a friends Yamaha CG102, perfect!
The friend doesn't play religiously and she's only just getting back to trying to learn to play guitar so I couldn't justify over spending for strings. These "student" strings clearly and amply filled the bill. They sound much better than the price would suggest too. Once I got them stretched out to be more stable they held tune very well and the resonance from the guitar was incredible. While you do have to deal with the variability of changes in a wooden neck for your tuning, having classical strings is much easier to deal with than electric guitars strings AND they're much easier to maintain as well. A simple wipe and your done. No need to use Fast Fret, Fret Ease or any type of string polish. The 3 bass strings are silver wrapped so they never corrode and the 3 treble strings are plastic so no corrosion there either. Stringing them up compared to a steel string fixed bridge is a little more involved but not something anyone can't learn to do either. You'll also really like the feel of these strings too. Easier to play, very smooth transitioning, sound excellent and quite honestly D'Addario has been making strings before I was even born and it shows in the consistent quality of their product repeatedly.

Great set of strings!
The media could not be loaded. These strings work really well on my Godin acs Multiac. They are vibrant, it has good sound quality and they feel good on the fingers. They stay in tune pretty well too. The only negative thing is that they don’t last as much as I would like but that’s ok. Their lifetime for me, playing about 9 gigs a week, is about 1 month. It’s pretty fair I think. Overall great product!

Nice strings
First of all, I have read comments about not being able to tell which string goes where. Not only was that simple, it was easy. There's a guide on the inside of the package that has the color code for each string. The color is just about a quarter of an inch long, but are definitely on the strings. They were simple to install, and produce a nice tone. Great price point compared to other sets. Will definitely purchase some again, and have a couple extra sets on the way. Tuned up easily and are much softer then nickel wound guitar strings. It's my first classical guitar, but I'm a D' Addario fan!

Good Basic Strings
I'm a beginner Classical guitar player with a prior musical background. These are good basic student strings for Classical guitar. They are make of nylon or have a nylon core and shouldn't hurt your fingers as much as the steel strings.I purchased these are they are meant for my Classical guitar. Steel strings used on Acoustic can damage a Classical guitar's neck (there is not steel rod in it for support you see...).Amazon sells these cheaper than the store so I load up on them here. These are the traditional strings that are meant to be tied. These do not have a ball end.Classical strings come not gauges like steel does. They come in "Tensions", I found normal tension quite comfortable.Volume for each string seems to be consistent. I've had sets where the bass strings were out of control volume wise.I also use the String Stretcha to stretch the strings once installed. Classical strings take longer to stabilize the tone than steel strings, but the String Stretcher seems to get them all evenly. Once stretched evenly they all stabilize at a more or less even rate and much faster.D'Addario also has a string recycling program where you can get points. If you play a lot, or have a bunch or young players in your house, it's worth signing up.Don't play on old corroded or damaged strings! Change them when needed. These aren't too pricey to do that.At one point I did not know when to change strings and I liked the tone of them really worn out. I ended up pressing harder trying to prevent string buzzing and it was hurting my hand, making playing not enjoyable. It's important to learn and play comfortably so I change my string regularly now.

Low price and a short life span
I gave these a chance. Half the price of Pro Arte strings yet last half as long plus need more tuning. They sound ok for about 6/7 days then they're basically toast. Seeing as i use a pack a week and it takes 20 minutes to install I will be saving 8.7 hours a year about two extra days of practice) if i go with Pro Artes and change every other week which i intend to do. Same strings Chet used as well.
