Will it rust? Want to mount it externally to my truck.

This tool is painted and not stainless or chrome and probably will rust.

Are the photos and description up-to-date? They describe the older version of this halligan. Are you selling the older or new version?

I should be the new version as you can see most the pictures are actually of a set of ear phones. It is very hard to get things fixed on Amazon these days. The last 6 months they have stopped making the changes suggest by sellers. Hopefully this will change soon.

Why are there headphones listed for this product?

When it's time to get the problem solved, reach for the right tool.

This is a smaller version of the full size Halligan. It appears to be full forged, end to end. It's all business, and it decisively handles every prying task. I moved a 3,000lb concrete block with it. Zero fuss. I think that should help you understand what you're buying with this tool.

As a Machinist I like quality which this has some but not all I know that it was forged from 4130 steel I used an XRF to be sure I was getting what was advertisedSome of the forging was left rough so I spent a little time with a belt sander so if needed I could grab this quickly with out gloves from underneath the seat of my truckAlso looks great with my axe that I purchased to pair it up with

If you like to wear fresh crisp class B uniforms, every day, this tool is not for you. If you dont like to have a lounge area in the bay, this tool is not for you. If you believe in clean cabs, this tool is not for you. If you dont like to go interior, this tool is not for you. If your main goal at the end of the day is to stay clean and look good, this tool is not for you.So who is this tool for?Well...This tool is rough around the edges, by looking at it, you can tell that it has been beat, grinded, and forged by fire (single piece drop forged out of 4140 alloy steel) . The tooling marks all over this tool are indicative of the utilitarian mindset for which it was created. This Halligan was made for FIREMEN. But not just any fireman. This tool was made to be used and abused. Pre-Tuned with depth marks and widened forks, this tool is ready to go right out of the box. If you want a tool with a flawless finish, this isnt the one, spend some more money and go buy yourself a Pro-bar (Which also work great).But if you dont care about the finish and want a tool that works and supports American families, this is the tool for you.
