I started with this extract to help ensure I didn't have allergies. Then i used the whole plant product. This extract works about 90% as well as the crushed plant powder. And it's much more convenient. I still order this when I'm traveling.

Though the US FDA claims its authority, of which I believe is not fail-proof, it would be of comfort to see the clinical trials being evaluated and approved by the agency.Likely, this modification of butterbur extract, is safer to the internal organs, I cannot help to have concerns about risks.Instead of the 3 times daily, as recommended on the bottle, I take these as needed instead.I do believe that there is correlation with improvement in migraine headache relief. So more study, and hopefully more pharmaceutical competition, will ensure that this is a safer medication and ideally more affordable with some insurance coverage.

Just because they didn't help me much, doesn't mean they may not help you. I've had nasty headaches on a regular basis for about 40 years now; I figured these were worth a shot. (Doctors have repeatedly concluded that they understood the source of my headaches... only to try something (like surgery) only to have it not work, and conclude that their understanding was 'incomplete' and have to try again.)So, the good news -- they are easy to swallow, no noticeable taste, they are gluten-free, and appear to be from a reputable company.The bad news -- well, they didn't do anything for me. In addition, TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR before taking them; it looks like they can cause some significant issues for you if you have liver issues.Overall -- I'm actually not displeased with them; my headaches have defied multiple neurologists, so these were a hope, but even tho they didn't work for me, I was impressed by the manufacturing quality, ease of use, and apparent research/history. Just check with your doctor before you start taking them.
