Whynter CUF-112SS Mini, Energy Star Rated Small Upright Freezer with Lock, Stainless Steel -1.1 Cubic Feet

I recently purchased the Whynter CUF-110 Upright Freezer and I’m really impressed with its performance. It’s compact enough to fit in tight spaces yet surprisingly spacious inside. The lock feature adds peace of mind, especially in shared living situations. It cools quickly, runs quietly, and the build quality feels solid. Perfect for storing essentials or overflow from my main freezer. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a reliable, energy-efficient mini freezer!

The freezer arrived in prestine condtion with no damage, scratches, dents. Jose G. at Whynter has helped me with purchases over the phone with Whynter products. The freezer is well made with a good door seal. It will freeze set on 3 to 0 degrees F easliy. Do not put food, water bottles, etc over 2 to 3 pounds at ambeint temperture because it will take a long time to bring the temp down. It is a small freezer not made to put 20 pounds of food at 70 to 80 degrees F in it all at once. Something at 50 degrees and 15 pounds may take 24 hours as an example. The unit is made for Whynter by Midea to Whynters specifications. I chose the Whynter branded name because I like the quality that Whynter puts into their products. Whynter is a very good US company or it was last I checked that manufacturers appliances. I have a dual hose floor portable AC from Whynter, and it runs very well. The freezer must be set in a temperature zone of 50 to 90 degrees F. The shelves have enough room for anything a person would want in a small freezer. I have had it running now for 7 days. It doesn't make much noise at all. If you want a small, well built 3.0 cu ft freezer, purchase this one. Each shelf has a cooling coil under it. The botome shelf has a coils and under it a basket and below the basket another cooling coil.

I bought one of these in October of '23, and it deserves a new up-to-date review. I just wish other appliances, or anything for that matter, lived up to expectations like this excellent little freezer has. For nearly two years mine has lived in my outdoor covered kitchen in Texas, where it has endured many 100+ days and 15 degree nights. Its performance has been flawless, keeping ice cream and many cuts of meat solidly frozen, no matter what. I have only had to defrost it once, and I think that was because a plastic bag kept the door from sealing tightly. I trust it so much I keep expensive briskets, steaks and pork butts in it without any worry. I freezes quickly. And it looks good. The stainless steel exterior has not dulled or changed color. The lock continues to work without problem. I haven't babied it, so it has accumulated a few slight bumps from being moved around, with no ill effect other than cosmetic. I am so impressed by this little freezer. It is absolutely worth the price and a recommend it without hesitation.

I chose this particular freezer because of the Energy Star rating. After reading the instruction book and safety warnings, I decided to install it under the counter in a 24 inch wide cabinet with the doors removed. It fits like a custom order.After waiting 4 hours for the refrigerant to settle, I plugged it in and set it to MAX as per instructions. After 3 hours it had reached a temperature of -10 degrees fahrenheit plenty cold enough, perhaps even a bit too cold for my ice cream products.It is very quiet but if you listen carefully you'll be able to hear the compressor kick on and off, but you really need to be standing right next to it to hear anything so for me it definitely passes the quiet test.We are fully off grid so energy consumption played a big role in choosing this freezer. According to the handbook it draws 75 watts when the compressor is running which is for our needs great! I will keep an eye on it and will report back should the energy usage change.The freezer arrived in perfect condition (which was a concern of mine after reading so many reviews).My only surprise/complaint was the color of the "stainless steel" door. It looks almost bronze to me and it certainly isn't even close to matching the other stainless steel appliances in our kitchen, or the other pics in various reviews on Amazon. I have written Whynter customer support to see if I am missing something.The product seems well made and as long as it continues to keep my food frozen I am very satisfied.

I put it behind a restaurant bar for small items (whiskey ice, martini glasses). It cools well so far (I got it last week), with no ice build up. The adjustable temperature setting is great. The size is perfect and the locking mechanism works well too.

This freezer was perfect for my needs. I was lucky enough to catch the driver as he was delivering the freezer to stop him from bringing it upstairs to my front door. I had him leave it on ground level at the garage door. This made it so easy for me to unpack it and place it in the garage. The set up was easy, it arrived in perfect condition. It is well made, and works beautifully !!!

I had an underused corner cabinet and a very small freezer in my fridge. I pulled out the corner cabinet hardware and cabinet front and replaced it with this great little freezer. Perfect size - looks built-in. Functions perfectly. Such a relief to have more freezer space. And at a great price point.
