Looks like the pictures
I was honestly really worried about it having an odor. I am extremely sensitive to odors and intended on putting the blanket at the end of my bed. As soon as I opened it, I thought, oh no, because it does have a slight odor, and I could see how many could mistake it for a petroleum like smell. But I took it immediately and opened it completely to inspect it, and realized that it's just a wool smell. Any odor it did have almost immediately dissipated. I'm wondering if it's possibly from the plastic bag that it's packaged in?? Nonetheless, if your mot familiar with wool, it does have a scent to it, but it's really only ever noticeable if you literally push your nose into it.I'm a bit obsessed with wool. I have wool socks, multiple wool sweaters, many wool blankets etc. It is an amazing fabric that breathes, yet keeps you incredibly warm and doesn't hold odors. But you need to kind of get used to how to care for it. It rarely needs to be fully washed. It simply doesn't hold odors, and the less you wash it, the longer it lasts; I'm talking years and years and years it will last with proper care. I know the directions say you can machine wash it, butI would highly recommend trying not to as much as possible. It simply won't need it. If you were to have that uncommon accident like you spilled wine or something on it, then I would have it dry cleaned - but how often do those types of things really happen?? If it seems like got stinky, air it on a line outside for awhile. It won't hold the odor and you run the risk of damaging it with each wash.I have Scottish wool blankets, New Zealand wool blankets, Pendleton blankets, and now this one. It's not as thick as the Scottish blankets, but about the same texture, and bigger than those for roughly the same price. It's about as thick as the Pendleton blankets but stiffer, and not quite as soft. It costs roughly 1/5 of a Pendleton blanket. The only other wool blanket that I have that says it can be machine washed is the New Zealand wool blanket, but honestly the thought of machine washing it terrifies me, lol. Washing a large wool item just seems like a terrible idea, and why? It really shouldn't need it.I'm pleased with the price, quality, and weight of this blanket. I was slightly worried by the reviews that show theirs coming apart, but based on the info I received with it, I'm fairly comfortable that the manufacturer would respond should I have an issue.

Cozy Comfort in Every Thread!
The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased the Arcturus Patterned Wool Blanket, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! Weighing in at 4.5 lbs, this blanket feels substantial and warm, making it perfect for cold nights camping or lounging on the couch. The quality is impressive—it's beautifully designed, wash-friendly, and even softer after cleaning. The size is generous, providing ample coverage for two people. Plus, knowing it's made with 70% wool gives me peace of mind regarding durability and warmth even when wet. I highly recommend this blanket for anyone looking for a stylish and functional addition to their outdoor gear or home!

Lovely
Nice and comfortable, but being wool has a bit of a scratch to it. Very warm yet breathable, which is the beauty of a wool blanket. Colors are very nice and definitely a quality piece well made.

Build with promise
The media could not be loaded. A fabulous blanket with real deal. As expected it is heavy and fully snuggle size for 2 people. I love the color options and mine is best. It is durable and 100% useful for outdoor activities without worry of getting wet. This can be folded easily and portable to carry anywhere with you. The fabric has more content of Cotton and wool which makes it perfect. Design are lovely. I recommend it for outdoor and indoor both.

Good Based on value
So I bought this to keep in my car. It's always a good idea to keep a blanket for emergencies and wool keeps you warm even when it's completely wet. So in my search for wool blankets I found this. I bought it because of how affordable it is and because of that, it gets 4 stars if this was a 200 dollar blanket it would be 2 stars. It is a very good size. It looks nice and is comfy. It feels like wool, mildly itchy but comfortable enough that I have slept under this for a couple weeks now just to try it out. It doesn't feel incredibly warm. I'm wondering if it would be better if the wool to cotton ratio was higher, as the saying goes "cotton kills" and when I need something to keep me warm in a bad situation I'm not confident in this. That said for around the house use it's amazing. Oh and the smell fades and to me it doesn't bather me at all.

Thick, heavy, very nice
OMG!! This blanket is great, especially for the price. I washed mine and it got thicker and fluffier. It sheds a bit, but it's easy to clean up. It does have a slight wool smell out of the package but that's normal for wool, it does go away eventually. I'm using mine in my rtt for camping. After just one wash it's softer and thicker. Buy it.

Give it time
This is turning into a wonderful blanket. I did feel like it smelt werid when I first got it. I let it air out outside for about a week and the smell went away. It is warm and definitely a wool blanket.
