Perfect for visible riding
I recently purchased the Basecamp Bike Helmet (BC-10) for my mother who recently purchased an EBike and I’m thoroughly impressed! This helmet offers exceptional comfort and protection, making it a great choice for both men and women. The standout feature, however, is the LED safety light. The visibility cannot be beat! Whether cycling during the day or at night, the LED light adds an extra layer of security, ensuring you're seen from a distance. The helmet itself is incredibly lightweight and adjustable, providing a secure and comfortable fit. The breathable design keeps my mother's head cool during long rides, and the removable sun visor is a great touch, providing shade when needed. Whether you're into mountain biking or road cycling, this helmet is versatile and offers all-around protection. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a high-quality, safe, and stylish helmet!

Great quality
These are excellent low cost helmets. Top quality and excellent fit. The light on the back is a great safety plus, this is my third one.

Good fit…but my visor broke!
Great value for your money, light, and fits your head safely. The visor is very flimsy, mine broke and wish it had a 3rd point of connection, really miss the shade it provided and that you could buy it separately.

Truly a Happy Customer.. not paid by Amazon or Specialized
This helmet has exceeded my most optimistic expectations. I believe some of the negative reviews that I have read are for a different product. This helmet has better fit, comfort, cooling and finish than my far more expensive Giro helmet. It took less than two minutes to get it adjusted to a perfect fit after unboxing it. The color of this product is so much more vivid than the picture. The visor was black instead of white and looks much nicer. The removable lining's padding is higher quality than my Giro, the helmet is lighter than my Giro, and has a bug net to keep the critters from nesting in your hair. Okay about the rear light... it took a few tries to get the light to work until I realized the clear plastic cover has to be pressed hard enough to deflect and allow contact with the internal switch. I'm really going to get a lot of use out of this incredibly inexpensive helmet. I'm a 6 foot tall husky dude with average head size and this helmet can still be adjusted to be loose on my head. Amazon shipped this product in a box with plastic bubble wrap to keep the helmet from damage. I recently purchased another road bike and this color scheme is a perfect match. I love the fact that there is no 'basecamp' logo.

Almost perfection
Great helmet. Not a single complaint. Ok, one complaint. The light should be rechargeable. Though I appreciate the backup battery. Still give it 5 stars.

excellent value for money
I'm really happy with this helmet. A replacement for the one that I lost when my former bike was stolen. Features I really wanted, and got: (a) fairly lightweight, but does not feel flimsy at all. (b) Adjustable rear "wheel" allows for a precise fit, which means greater comfort and more stability. I have a weirdly large head, so getting a good fit is always a challenge for me. LOL. I wish this had a bit more interior padding, but it's absolutely fine as is. I've done several 3+ hour bike rides so far, and no chaffing, no discomfort at all. (c) the helmet is not solid--there are vents/holes in it. I guess this is done to reduce the weight and/or allow wind to cool off your head. Those are nice, but not super-important to me. But...these vents meant that I could zip-tie a headlight to the helmet, which is far better for me when riding at night than having a fixed light attached to my handlebars. (I have this, as well.) I love having a light attached to me helmet, as it means that if I need to look to either side, the light follows my line of vision. I feel much safer with this, and would never buy another helmet without vents in the future.

A fantastic value and performance!
I bought this exact helmet 3 years ago for my wife and loved it so when my son needed a new helmet I went right for this. It’s well made, light, properly ventilated and has safety features that make it a great value!

Nice looking, hard to adjust
This helmet will do the job, but a couple items leave me somewhat unimpressed.First, of course the straps weren't even close to a fit, so I had to make adjustments, and this was a process that I found to be very frustrating. You have to somehow get behind the helmet cushions to move the straps through the buckles. It was hard to do and my results were less than stellar. It's still out of whack and I'm still working on it.Then, part of the cushion that rests on the back of my head was glued on at the wrong spot, so I had to pull it off and re-glue it. It won't lay flat, though, because it had been in the wrong position probably since manufacture. More glue needed. The helmet came with a cushion that is attached by Velcro to the chin strap, but I haven't figured out exactly how it's supposed to be used. Nothing in the instructions. The helmet comes with a small spaghetti-strap backpack that will be useless to anyone who regularly wears a standard bike jersey with pockets. On the good side, it's a nice looking helmet, sits a little higher up on my head than my last helmet (which I like), and it's very light. The visor positioning seems perfect, and the rear light is a nice touch. Final fitting is done by rotating a handy little wheel.
