Excellent Reel
I’ve been fishing for 12-13 years hard for bass and I got this reel for a travel setup to beat around in my pickup. This reel is now going into the boat exclusively due to the performance. This reel is very smooth and quiet. I have two royale legends from (which this is a competitor to) and have been a fan of them for years. This reel is just simply better. No noise while reeling and it is like butter on casts. I also like the clicks on the tension knob. Was skeptical of the brand but I will be purchasing more gear.Don’t be tricked into thinking this is a beginner reel. Any fisherman will genuinely enjoy this. You will not find a reel at this price perform at this level. Would love to see a pro get on board with this brand.

Piscifun is making a dent in the overpriced fishing industry.
This small 100 sized bait caster packs a punch for the price. Smooth casting and retrieve. Plenty of drag. It's not really made for salt water and it may not horse up a 40 lb. Striper, but it's plenty strong enough for fluke (flounder) and black fish (tautog). I keep it clean after using it the salt and haven't had a problem in a year.Piscifun has come a long way from making just cheap knock offs and has really put out some quality products the last couple of years and at half the price and similar performance of the major manufacturers, they are definitely worth a look.

Casts beautifully under rough conditions.
I've only been able to get out and fish with this reel once since I received it. And I have yet to actually fight a fish on it.But I must say that I did load it up with 20 lb braid and try it under some pretty rough conditions and came away impressed.I've owned and used a few casting reels over the years including a couple of Daiwas, Bass Pro, Abu Garcia and a cheap Shakespeare.None of them are as easy to cast as this one is.I was casting a jig into a steadily gusty wind all day with only one minor backlash that I was able to fix in about a minute. And while I didn't actually hook a fish, it was one of those days on the bay when every cast resulted in reeling in a clump of weeds the size of my thigh. It continued to cast and reel perfectly smoothly throughout the day.I'm sure that under these same conditions, if I had been using any of those other reels I would have switched over to a spinning rig to avoid fixing birds nests all day.The Torrent does seem a little small for catching big blues and stripers. But it seems fine for fluke and the smaller blues and stripers I'd normally catch in the area I fished.I don't think it would have any problem at all handling the catfish, bass and pike I'd fish for from my kayak in freshwater.Overall I think this reel is great for anyone who wants to try using a casting reel. It's very user friendly and seems to be more solidly built than reels I've paid 3 times the price.UPDATE : I took the reel out on a party boat the other day.I thought I'd give it a try to see how it felt with a live fish on the other end.I ended up sticking with it all day, catching some nice seabass. The reel performed flawlessly. The drag was perfect for the type of fishing I was doing, and easily and conveniently adjustable whenever I'd end up hooking two fish at once & needed a little extra lifting power. This reel is awesome.

Picsun 7:2:1 baitcaster
It cast great. Had no problems with the drag system. It’s not a bad reel for the price I actually thought that I was going to break it the first time out on the lake. But it held up with the smallies. I’d buy another one.

Triple P. Good Price, Good Process, Good Product.
I was happy with the prompt delivery. The quality is a good match for the price point. I was a little loose on some casting tries with braid. After a few adjustments of the drag and brake, I believe it will be a good reel for my fishing style.

There is a reason why they made version 2!!!
Oct-20-24..........WILDPULSE reached out to me and made it right. Changed my rating to 5 star for superior customer service.***********************************************************************************************************************Original review below:Paired this reel on a handing miracle bass m-h fast action 7' 2pc rod and my first impression was ok not too bad and if it didn't feel like a toy i would have been a little pissed about my 151 mgl curado's. I have it spooled with 20# sufix 832 and this thing kicked bass butt!!!!. About a week in it made a funky noise while casting. I wanted to make sure that this thing was good to go so i took a peek and low and behold there was no grease in this thing. I put some in, the purple cal's on the gears and triflow on the bearings. Everything seemed to be ok but then it got a little grindy while retrieving. Took it apart again and i can't really see anything out of place. The bearings are smooth, no chips/lost teeth in the gears.I bought this to keep in the truck, now sometimes i fish places where fishing isn't really allowed. Local police will tell ya to move it if your parked on the lot but ignore ya if your just fishing or taking pictures. It's the wardens that will snatch your gear and give ya a warning about next time and i don't want to lose a $350+ combo. Anywho...Fished this thing pretty hard since i got it, tossing 5/8 spinner baits and senko's/wacky-worms and pulling bass to 6lbs. The above happened and back to fishing again. Then before it blows up i decided to just return it and try the torrent 2.Little disappointed but with all the good reviews i may have gotten a bad one.
