Highly recommended and good insurance against an unlikely Ebola outbreak...
As a long time consumer of thousands of milligrams of ascorbic acid daily in *tablet* form, I was enticed to purchase this ascorbic acid powder after reading the best single article on ascorbic acid that I've ever read: "Can Vitamin C Cure Ebola" by Steve Hickey PhD, Hilary Roberts PhD, and Damien Downing MBBS, MSB, Orthomolecular Medicine News Service, August 20, 2014.The authors state that aside from purchasing expensive I.V. sodium ascorbate treatments, ascorbic acid in powder form is more effective than any other form of *oral* Vitamin C (and is actually twice as effective as any mineral ascorbate [sodium ascorbate, calcium ascorbate, etc.]). This ascorbic acid powder is also the least expensive form of Vitamin C available and contains no fillers.I had never tried ascorbic acid powder before (though I have tried sodium ascorbate crystals) as it had just been more convenient to purchase ascorbic acid *tablets* at my local big box store.Hickey et al recommend drinking ascorbic acid in water with a straw to avoid any teeth issues due to the slight acidity.I've noticed that because ascorbic acid powder has no fillers and because it is in powder form that it is much more quickly absorbed into the body and that I require less of it to produce the same effect as a larger amount of ascorbic acid *tablets* would provide (you know your body is approaching Vitamin C saturation by the tell-tale 'bowel tolerance' symptoms that Hickey et al describe in their paper).I also notice that any 'bowel tolerance' symptoms are much milder with ascorbic acid powder than with ascorbic acid *tablets*.From what I've read about ascorbic acid it can be easily taken up by many of the body's tissues without having to pass through the gut as long as the ascorbic acid is not bound in a tablet with its fillers. So I theorize that ascorbic acid in powder form is being absorbed and utilized by the body as soon as it hits the back of the the mouth, whereas much of the ascorbic acid in *tablet* form is not delivered and available to the body until it hits the stomach or intestines. This is why I think 'bowel tolerance' symptoms from ascorbic acid powder are much milder than with ascorbic acid *tablets*.Related to this, you can use ascorbic acid powder externally as a paste or dissolved in water for skin issues (you can read more about this in other reviews or on the DoctorYourself website). I've tried doing this with some success in the past by grinding an ascorbic acid tablet between two spoons -- the results were not very amazing. However, I've had much better results with a paste made from ascorbic acid powder.I have a small area on my face that gets red in the summer and stays brownish in the winter. After applying ascorbic acid paste on the area every other day for about two weeks the area is fading away, which I think is quite amazing. The only negative thing I can say about this product is that it's impossible to keep the zip-lock closure closed. Fortunately this is easily remedied using a clothespin or two.If you're worried about Ebola, read the article above, purchase a few kilograms of this ascorbic acid powder and set your mind at ease.UPDATED 3/12/2015: After using this powdered form of ascorbic acid for over a year after using a popular tablet form for over 10 years, I can say that this product is far superior to the tablet form. And the last two packages I received had zip-lock closures that actually worked. :)

Has Multiple Uses. Dissolves Easily In Warm Water
I am definitely going to be buying from this company again. This stuff is awesome and serves multiple purposes, used for skin mixed with glycerin some even add it skin cream, Aloe Vera gel to use for skin and hair, put a little bit it in hair conditioner and shampoo, I have a friend who does this with vitamin C oil. I am a tartness freak I added a bit to some lemon aid it dissolved easily and tasted good. Yes this is weird I know there are actually people who use this to remove hair dye I thought they were kidding me but it worked. I am new to this never used the powdered version before and look forward to trying the many uses of it. DISSOLVING it this is easily done with hot tap or very warm waterAcne and oily skinFreaking awesome I mixed some of this with liquid body soap and have been washing my face with it it killed the acne removed the heavy build up of oil and cleared my skin, plus the way it cleaned my pores it was like I had used a facial mask, hehehe acne got it's butt kicked smiles evilly. I used the same mix in the shower makes an excellent body cleanser as well. I know this is weird I used it like toothpaste it stripped the plaque right off, I wouldn't do it all the time because of the acidHair dye removerHoly crap it actually works, I was told mixing vitamin C with shampoo removes hair dye I tried an experiment after cutting my hair I made a swatch mixed equal amounts of the vitamin powder with shampoo made a mix with the same thickness as hair conditioner. I coated the swatch with it put it in a plastic cap covered and left it sit for a while. about half an hour later I came back and it had removed a good amount of the dye. It will not remove heavy layers of dye with one time but it removes a decent amount, NOTE it does dry hair out but conditioner fixes that. Then if you want afterward you can use [Color Oops] hair dye removerUpdate April 28 2015. toe nail fungusI had a toe nail turned milk white which means a foot fungus in some cases the accompanying stench is most foul, I tried an experiment I put 2 table spoons of the powder in hot tap water in a foot basin soaked my feet for about 1 hour. later after done soaking I dried them off and noticed the white color had faded a lot by the following day the nail was clearer. Salt can also added with the Vitamin C powder with no problem. Afterward I did put pure lemon oil on the nail to help keep it sterelized and clear lemon acts like a bleach it fades freckles so I knew it'd help this

One of the best for liposomals
I love BulkSupplements vitamin C. Its pure, easy to use, and has so many applications for healthy living; from making liposomal C, to facial and skin creams, to healing bath waters with the vitamin c and magnesium, salt, etc. It even makes a great throat spray, and if mixed with a bit of baking soda and distilled water, a very good nasal spray. VC neutralizes pathogens on contact by donating its electrons (all pathies are A. positively charged and B. hoarders of electrons, but VC wipes them out via peaceful neutralization. Vitamin C is a miracle from God for countless health related issues, and our family has benefitted greatly from it. Recently found a neat way to concentrate the liposomal C and receive more benefit with much less icky aftertaste. First, you take a quart size jar and add it 10 tbs of sunflower lecithin powder, then add to that 4 tbs of the Vitamin C powder. Add about 3 cups distilled water, cap, and gently shake. Let the jar sit in the frig overnight and shake vigorously in the am. viola, it liposomes itself. You can still plop it in the ultrasonic for 10-15 minutes if you wish, but its great if your in a pinch and don't have time. We have tried it both ways and can barely taste a difference. Plus, only need about 1 oz instead of 2oz, which is nice and can make it last a bit longer in between batches. I really appreciate the purity and good price of Bulksuppliments, as well as the freedom the powders give to be creative and try vitamins in different ways. Well, time for that relaxing vitamin c and mineral salts bath. To your health.
