Hi there, that's a great question! As we have stated, our candles are both organic & vegan. Firstly, let me start off with the fragrance oil we source: the fragrance oils are IFRA & EU Compliant and are completely synthetic, and they should not be confused with essential oils (which are mainly derived from plants). These fragrance oils we use are never tested on animals which is why they are labelled as vegan. Secondly, the soy wax we source is not derived or produced from any raw materials that have been genetically modified. The origin of cultivation is the EU and the company we source it from declares that it has been produced with organic farming practices, and is also without the use of any animal derived ingredients or testing. Soy wax itself is made from environmentally friendly, renewable resources; whereas classic paraffin wax is made from petroleum and is non-renewable. Not only are there “green” advantages to choosing soy wax over a different type of candle wax, but the soy wax is a by-product of the soy-bean plant, where farming primarily produces vegetable oil. For us, it is of most importance that we source the most sustainable and eco-friendly ingredients for our candle collection. Again, the wax we source has been produced to a high standard and is labelled as organic, to answer your question.
