can this item be used in a hard water (320 mg/l) area?

Hi, I am not 100% sure but we have no problem whatsoever with ours. We only use this at home for our drinking water.

How would I now a replacement filter is due? Do 3 need to be changed at the same time or they have different life span? thanks
